- The church in the name of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was built according to the project of the German architect Gottlieb Zinke. This is the only preserved religious building of the XIX century in the city and the district, reflecting the history of the spread of Christianity in Siberia. And this could only be done by people with a burning heart, an iron will, faith in themselves and others. And, therefore, real romantics;
- The objects of the 501st construction site during the GULAG are one of the dark pages of Russian history. Part of the "road to nowhere" - the route of the Chum–Salekhard–Igarka railway (under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR) took place in Salekhard. Today it is a monument to the victims of Stalin's repressions.
- MVK named after. Shemanovsky. The main museum of Yamal holds a unique exhibit - the remains of the mammoth Lyuba. The baby was discovered near the city in 2007.
