Itinerary

Day 1 - Nerekhta city tour, master class
11:00 – 11:30 Arrival in Yaroslavl.
The gathering of the group at the Yaroslavl railway station is the Main one.
Transfer to Nerekhta (~70 km).
Nerekhta is one of the most unique corners of the Kostroma land.
Wooden merchant houses with lace trim and magnificent ensembles of churches and shopping malls are perfectly preserved here.
It's not for nothing that Nerekhta is called an open-air museum city.
Lunch at a cafe in the city.
A visit to the Lavrovsky wooden Toy factory is an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of wooden toys.
You will learn about the history of wooden toys, what games were played in Russia and try this exciting activity yourself.
And at the master class you will paint a wooden souvenir with your own hands.
Sightseeing tour of Nerekhta – you will walk along the ancient streets of the city and enjoy the beauty and grandeur of the magnificent ensembles of the Churches of the Resurrection and Epiphany, Holy Cross Church, St. Nicholas, Varvarinsky temples and the bell tower of the Kazan Cathedral.
You will visit the main shrine of Nerekhta – the Trinity-Sypanov Pakhomiev Monastery (founded in 1362 by the disciple of the great St. Sergius of Radonezh, the holy elder Pakhomiy).
The incorruptible miraculous relics of St. Pachomius have been found in the monastery, to which you can venerate.
Nearby there is a unique hill of St. Pachomius with a holy spring at the foot.
According to legend, if you go down and climb the slide barefoot with faith and prayer in your soul, you can find healing (visiting the spring and the slide depends on weather conditions).
Departure to Kostroma (~ 40 km.).

Day 2 - A tour of the city of Ples, a boat trip
Breakfast at the hotel.
12:00 Departure for an excursion to Ples (transfer ~ 1 hour).
Lunch at a cafe in the city.
The city of Ples is amazingly beautiful, it is even called the "pearl of the Volga" and the "Russian gem".
There are no architectural masterpieces in Ples, but there are unique masterpieces of natural beauty.
A sightseeing walking tour of the city will allow you to see the Ples in all its glory: the high Cathedral Mountain, where the fortress walls have not stood for a long time – only century-old birch trees, the royal Assumption Cathedral, the bulbs of ancient churches and the Volga expanses stretching beyond the horizon.
Excursion to the Levitan Museum – the artist Isaac Levitan first appeared in Ples in the summer of 1888 and was simply amazed by the beauty of these places, it was here that he created a total of 23 paintings and more than 200 sketches, which brought him worldwide fame.
Boat trip along the Volga – you will enjoy the beauty of the great Russian river and the views of the Ples. (in case of adverse weather conditions, the boat trip will be replaced by an excursion to the museum of Public places);
Departure to Kostroma (~ 80 km.).
Transfer to the hotel, free time.

Day 3 - Excursions to Yaroslavl and Kostroma, the Museum of flax and birch bark

Sightseeing tour of the city of Kostroma – the pearl of the Golden Ring of Russia.
Kostroma is the oldest jewelry center, craft and merchant city on the Volga, and the perfectly preserved ensemble of mansions of the XVIII–XIX centuries, patterned wooden houses and the fan arrangement of streets gives it a special, unique charm.
You will admire the Fire Tower – an outstanding monument of classicism, the Guardhouse building, the House of Senator Borshchov, get acquainted with the beautifully preserved ensemble of Shopping malls that regularly serve until now, see the monument to Ivan Susanin, V.I. Lenin, visit the territory of the second Kostroma Kremlin.
A visit to the Epiphany Cathedral on the territory of the second Kostroma Kremlin, its main shrine is the healing icon of the Mother of God Feodorovskaya, which was painted in the 12th century and glorified by great miracles and healings.
Excursion to the Holy Trinity Ipatiev Monastery.
Kostroma rightfully has the status of the cradle of the Romanov dynasty. After all, it was within the walls of the Ipatiev Monastery that Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov was called to the royal throne. From here, the royal path of the dynasty began, which lasted a little more than 300 years. A tour of the territory and the Trinity Cathedral with unique frescoes.

Sightseeing tour of Yaroslavl. You will see: The First Russian Theater, the Transfiguration Monastery – the main attraction of Yaroslavl, the Church of Elijah the Prophet. You will visit the Park "1000th anniversary of Yaroslavl" and the historical part of the city.
