Route 30. Across the mountains to the sea in Adygea

Intensive training and detailed instruction is a sure harbinger of the longest and most exciting adventure.

The group will be transported to the checkpoint from where our route begins.

On this day, the route will pass through the territory of the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve, in the area of alpine meadows.

Ahead is the boundless expanse of the plateau with its herds of horses, sinkholes and dazzling white patches of snowfields on green slopes, a breathtaking panorama of mountain ranges and valleys from a height of more than two kilometers.

Huge gray boulders, broken by cracks and frozen like waves in a stormy Stone Sea, are the peaks of the Main Caucasian Ridge.

A light hike will allow us to explore the Stone Sea from all sides, new locations, and views from the Nagoya Kosh ridge.

Protected areas, subalpine meadows — all this is on the way to the alpine shelter.

We are settling in, cooking dinner together, and tomorrow we will have new strong emotions — climbing in the morning.

Climbing is quite an affordable step.

This "action" may be intimidating, but in reality, high-quality rest and a steady load will bear fruit.

From the top there is an amazing view of the rocky outcrops of Fisht and Pshekhou, the glaciers of the Colorado Plateau and Fisht tooth, the snow and ice fields of the distant peaks of the Caucasus Range.

The aesthetics of climbing are pleasing all along the way.

Climbing the mountain from the north, we walk along the ridge, admiring the stunning views.

We set the winning point and... continue our adventure.

We descend along a path we have not traveled, with new locations and viewing points.

We walk along the "leopard" lake and rocky foreheads.

We often share a little-traveled path with wild chamois.

We are getting closer to Fisht Shelter every hour.

We go light, all our luggage "moves" on packhorses around the massif.

Saving time and effort is obvious.

We have a rest at the shelter, have a delicious dinner, and we can arrange a sauna.

Tomorrow morning we will make the transition to the Circassian booths.

After the shelter, the trail crosses the Main Caucasian Ridge (Belorechensky Pass, 1788 m) and continues along the southern macroslope in the upper reaches of the Shakhe River, through the Cherkessky Pass (1830 m).

We go to the places of fierce battles of our border guards with selected units of the Wehrmacht.

The passes are marked by monuments to soldiers.

Our guide will tell you about the hardships of fighting in the mountains.

When you walk along the same paths, with incomparably less stress and danger, you acutely feel the weight of the tasks you have completed, and you gain respect for those strong people.

We set up camp at the shepherd's booth, the hospitable hostess will treat us to ayran and freshly baked tortillas.

Everything here is connected with ancient, traditional cattle grazing.

We make a radial exit to the Cherkessky pass with a view of the Moon Valley.

In the evening we relax, have a delicious dinner at the camp.

• This season, we offer an additional option to transfer from Belorechenskiy Pass to Babuk-Aul shelter with an intermediate overnight stay at Cherkessky shelter, on horseback (if you are confident and have experience riding in the mountains).

The group has a limit of 5-6 people, paid additionally.

The horseback riding route has its own charm — you can enjoy calm horseback riding, feel unity with a strong and intelligent animal, admiring the emerald valleys and peaks of the Caucasus, only here.

We have breakfast in the morning, pack up the camp and go to the beech forests.

The descent from the pass goes along the old Circassian road to the Babuk-Aul shelter (altitude drop is 660 m).

In the afternoon, we drive by SUV to the village of Salokhaul (18 km), along the Shakhe River along an old wheeled road passing through a boxwood grove and crossing small rivers, the route ends in the village of Solokhaul, which is the birthplace of "Russian Tea".

Then we transfer to a minibus and finally, hello sea!

At sea, you can use our recommendations for accommodation or choose a hotel yourself.

The minibus will take you to the village. Dagomys (to the central street of the village Batumi highway) or the railway station in the village of Loo.

Approximately in Dagomys on the last day of the tour at 18-19:00.
