Active recreation in the Krasnodar Territory — we go hiking along the cordons of the Caucasian Natural Biosphere Reserve. A well-trodden path dives into the forest, then goes back to the river. We will walk to the confluence of the Achipsta and Malaya Laba rivers, and also climb the Balkansky Ridge, which offers a panorama of the western part of the Main Caucasian Range.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Chernorechye cordon
11:00-12:00 Meeting at Krasnodar-1 railway station.
12:00 Meeting in Mineralnye Vody.
12:00-13:00 Meeting at Krasnodar airport.
16:00 Arrival time at the Chernorechye cordon.
16:00 Late lunch.
We are staying in tents.
18:00 Cooking together.
A sauna is available on request and by appointment (to be paid for independently).
Free time.
Day 2 - Cordon Chernorechye — cordon Third Company
08:00 Wake up.
09:00 Joint breakfast preparation.
Gathering tents.
Exit to the route: Chernorechye cordon — Third Company cordon.
The path goes along the left bank of the Malaya Laba, gradually gaining altitude.
The road is crossed by numerous streams and rivers, at the bottom of which, if you search, you can find "fool's gold" (a type of mica very similar to natural gold).
At the cordon, the Third Company will be conveniently located in the parking lot and replenish our drinking water supplies.
Beyond the cordon, the road ends and turns into a trail running through a tall fir forest.
There are convenient places to spend the night near the riverbank.

Day 3 - Cordon Third company — cordon Umpyr
08:00 Wake up.
09:00 Joint breakfast preparation.
Gathering tents.
Exit to the route: cordon Third company — cordon Umpyr.
After breakfast, we set off for the Umpyr cordon.
A well-trodden path dives into the forest, then goes back to the river.
Then the ascent to the Balkan ridge begins.
The ridge offers a panoramic view of the western part of the Main Caucasian Ridge.
The peaks of Tsakhvoa and Magisho are visible, with a Small Laba winding like a thin ribbon below.
It is convenient to make a lunch break here.
After lunch, the trail will take us to the confluence of the Achipsta and Malaya Laba rivers, where the Umpyr cordon is located.

18:00 Dinner.
Umpyrsky glades can comfortably accommodate overnight and, if desired, take a dip in the sauna.
Sauna by appointment (self-paid).
The crossing is 11 km.
The climb is 150 m.

Day 4 - Umpyr cordon — parking 30 km
08:00 Wake up.
09:00 Joint breakfast preparation.
Gathering tents.
Exit to the route: Umpyr cordon — parking 30 km.
After breakfast, we walk along the trail to the numerous tributaries of the Malaya Laba.
The trail leads to the confluence of the Tsakhvoa River with the Malaya Laba. Here, in a clearing, a convenient place for lunch and scenic parking is the 30th kilometer.

Free time.
The crossing is 10 km.

Day 5 - Parking 30 km — the river is Clean
08:00 Wake up.
09:00 Joint breakfast preparation.
Gathering of tents.
Exit to the route: parking 30 km — the river is Clean.
The next morning, continuing along the trail along the Malaya Laba, we come to the confluence of the Chistaya River with the Malaya Laba.
After lunch— there is a radial exit to the waterfalls in the upper reaches of the Chistaya River.
A visit to raspberry bushes and pleasant idleness!
Here you can relax and gain strength before climbing the pass.

Day 6 - Through the vast subalpine and alpine meadows to the pass. Departure
08:00 Wake up.
09:00 Joint breakfast preparation.
Gathering of tents.
Exit to the route.
After breakfast, we climb through the vast subalpine and alpine meadows to the pass.
There are thickets of delicious blueberries along the trail.
The pass offers a panorama of mountainous Abkhazia and the Aibga range.
After admiring the views, we begin to descend along the trail into the valley of the Pslukh River.
Soon the trail turns into a dirt road.
The walking route is over, we get to the village of Estosadok (Rosa Khutor) on our own by train.
The crossing is 7.5 km.
The climb is 630 m.
Height drop of 600 m.
The crossing is 14 km.
Take tickets no earlier than 19:00.

It's important to know

Even in summer, it is worth taking warm clothes, as temperature fluctuations in the mountains can be significant, especially at night.

It is desirable that the clothes be functional, that is, one layer repels moisture, the second protects from the wind. It is important that the clothes do not cause inconvenience.
