A mountain camp in Altai. Travel to the Multin Lakes light

In addition to the Multin Lakes, the lakes of Krasnaya Gora are very popular with tourists in this area. 

They are completely different from the Multinskys, but these reservoirs have their own mountain beauty! 

Today we are going to three lakes: one is located in the forest area, and the other two lakes are higher in the mountains! 

And it is the upper lakes that are the most visually interesting.

Of course, we will go up again today! 

We will see a small waterfall and go out first to the second and then to the third lakes. 

The reservoirs are located in squares, as if each in its own luxurious pool. 

Their color is usually dark emerald.

Trekking is pleasant here, the views are great, so we are sure that you will definitely enjoy this location! 

The active part of the Altai tour: travel by GAZ-66 or UAZ (about 3 hours one way).

We are always curious to explore places that are close to our hotel! 

Today we will go to the small local Filaretka mountain.

The peak got its name thanks to monk Filaret, who once lived in these places. 

Let's climb the mountain to admire the villages of Multa and Zamult, which are simply surrounded by green mountains!

And from the top we will see the valley of the Multa River and the beautiful mountain ranges – Katunsky and Terektinsky. 

The active part of the Altai tour: 6.8 km on foot, elevation difference 950-1640 m, trekking duration 6-7 hours.

In the morning we assemble the camp and then we will be transported by mountain transport to the Lower Multinsky Lake (the transfer will take about 2 hours). 

And here they are, the Altai Mountains are in front of us! 

The ones that you saw in the pictures and dreamed of seeing firsthand!

Picturesque mountains that are covered with cedars from the toes and almost to the crown. 

And there are lakes at the foot of the mountains. 

Our camp will be located close to the Lower Multinskoye Lake. 

You can always come here in the morning to admire how the lake wakes up and a misty haze is born over it. 

Here you can also admire the evening colors, when the sun shines gold on the tops of the mountains and smoothly disappears below the horizon. 

Our plans for this day include a trip to the Noise skating rink. 

We will walk through the forest along the Lower Multinskoye Lake. 

By the way, the length of the lake is 2300 m!

This is not just a modest, mountainous body of water. 

This is a magnificent Altai lake.

Just above the Lower One is the Middle Multinskoye Lake. 

The lakes are connected by a huge amount of Noise. 

In some places it looks like a waterfall, in others it looks like a wide and calm river.

The picturesqueness of this place is given by large and small stones that randomly lie in the water and flaunt in front of tourists. 

We'll take a walk on the rolling Noise, take a lot of pictures and set off on our way back. 

Active part: 11.2 km, elevation difference 1630-1650 m, route duration 3-4 hours.

Today we will see 2 interesting objects at once – a waterfall and a lake. 

Kuyguk Waterfall is very attractive! 

It is born among large stones and descends into the valley in one powerful cascade. 

The waterfall is very powerful and full-flowing. 

Rising above the waterfall, we will see a small lake Kuyguk, and a little further we will discover the main treasure of this valley! 

Huge, emerald, from which it is impossible to take your eyes off. 

In sunny weather, its color is something incredible! 

It seems as if an invisible artist took several watercolor paints and mixed them: emerald, azure, a drop of green, a couple of drops of blue, and a little more turquoise. 

The color is magical, you'll see for yourself! 

This beauty is complemented, as usual, by mountains, blue sky, white clouds and modest cedars that grow near the lake and admire it. 

Active part: 20.8 km, altitude difference 1630-2020 m, route duration 7-8 hours.

To get to the Transverse Lake, we will cross the Lower and Middle Multinskoye again by boat. 

Then we'll walk. 

In places, we will need to cross small streams, walk through the forest area, through alpine meadows. 

And in the afternoon we will reach our goal. 

This pond is a real cherry on the cake! 

Delicious, beautiful. 

When you sit near this lake, the feeling of unreality does not leave. 

It seems as if there could be no such beauty in the world. 

But it can! 

Altai is able to surprise and make your heart skip a beat from its beauty.

Active part: 21.2 km, elevation difference 1630-1890 m, route duration 9-10 hours.

Would you like to fly higher and look at the Multi-Pin Lakes from a height?

We can't promise about flights, but our guide knows an excellent route that allows you to climb higher and look at the lakes from there. 

After climbing the ridge a bit, we'll look into the neighboring valley. 

There we will see how the ridges stretching away into the distance spread out in long waves, the backs of which are covered with cedar forest. 

And if you look into our valley, you can already see the Lower Multinskoe Lake! 

The views are great, but it's not enough for us.

Go higher, it's more interesting there! 

After gaining more altitude, we will come to the main observation deck.

From here, you can see almost all of our routes, the Kuyguk Valley, the valley of the Krepkaya River, the Lower and Middle Lakes. 

In the evening we will go down to the village of Zamulta.

Today we are moving by minibus to Gorno-Altaysk.

On the way to the mountains, we will make a stop at the Seminsky pass. 

There is a souvenir market here and you can treat yourself to both delicious and simply pleasant souvenirs.
