Altai and Sheregesh ski tour

This is the first day of our ski program.

We have breakfast and go to the lifts.

All trails in Belokurikha are not difficult and are suitable even for the entry level.

We will ride the best ones, changing several slopes.

The slopes are mostly located on wooded low mountains. The track itself has been cleared of trees and rolled with a retractor.

There is always a cafe at the bottom of the lifts where you can relax, warm up and have a snack. Equipment rental is available on all lifts.

Well, if you get tired of riding, you can arrange a tour of local attractions.

There are a lot of interesting and beautiful places in the vicinity of Belokurikha, these are bizarre rocks of various shapes and a real, dense coniferous forest, covered with snow like a duvet.

In the late afternoon we will move to the village of Manzherok (about 120 km).

In the morning we have breakfast and move out to the ski slope.

Manzherok is located on the banks of the Katun River.

Not all of the river freezes, the water is open in rapids and rifts and usually soars in winter, decorating the trees along the banks with a thick layer of frost.

The water itself is a bright turquoise color, as if glowing against the background of snow-white snow.

The Manzherok ski resort has been transformed quite recently. Large investments were made (with the participation of the state).

Now Manzherok is a modern ski resort with all the necessary infrastructure and a modern closed-type ski lift.

The trails are diverse enough not to get bored in a couple of days of skiing.

In the evening, you can sit in a cafe or relax in your room or take a walk along the shore of Katun, looking at and marveling at the turquoise-colored ice hummock.

We have breakfast and change the location again.

Now we are going to Lake Teletskoye. It is about 200 km.

In Altai, the lake is called Altynkel, which means Golden Lake. There are many legends and folk tales about this place.

The place is really very beautiful and magical. It is a place of power and worship of the local peoples.

The lake is often called the Pearl of Altai or Little Baikal.

There is a special microclimate in the lake area, it is usually warmer here and there is always more snow. And snow is what we need!

The road to the lake passes through the taiga area, and then goes along the ice-free Biya River.

Beauty and sights change like in a kaleidoscope.

Upon arrival in the village of Artybash, we check into the hotel and go for a walk along the lake shore.

In the evening, when the lights come on, it seems that I have fallen into a fairy tale.

Here you can order a real Russian bath, and then dive into the prepared ice hole in the scalding, cold water.

We ride all day!

The Kukuya Ski Complex is located 5 km from our overnight stay in real mountains and impassable taiga.

There are 4 main routes. The height of the mountain is 1386 m, and the maximum height difference of the route is 755 m. The longest is 5000m.

There is a forest around, which means this is a great place for freeriding!

The tracks have different levels of difficulty and take into account any level of training.

In this place, the climate is influenced by Lake Teletskoye, the climate here is milder than in the district.

In summer, southern varieties of apples ripen along the shores of the lake. In winter, there is a lot of precipitation in the lake area, which means that the snow cover is very decent.

Snowmobiles work at night on all tracks to make skiing as comfortable as possible. But if you turn off the slopes, then in the forest you will find deep snow, so beloved by freeriders.

The landscapes around make one's breath freeze, the centuries-old cedars and fir trees, covered with snow, stand in serene tranquility, and the air around seems to ring with its purity and transparency.

We are leaving this wonderful place, as well as leaving the Altai Republic.

We are moving to the neighboring region of Gornaya Shoria, to the famous ski resort – Sheregesh.

We have to drive about 200 km.

The road passes through the most beautiful places, first along the Biya River, and then through the mountain pass to Tashtagol and finally to Sheregesh.

This resort is just over thirty years old, but the main development and popularity has occurred in the last decade.

Now Sheregesh consists of 6 ski areas, many gondola, chairlift and tow lifts, many cafes and other infrastructure elements. The length of the trails is 2000-3500 meters, the height difference is up to 630 meters, the height above sea level is 1270 meters.

Upon arrival, we check into a hotel and if we have time, we go for a ride on the slope.

We will spend the next 3 days in this place.

We will change the slopes, lifts, we will try to ride off-piste (optional) and we will just enjoy the descents.

In the evening, after dinner, you can just walk along the streets of the resort, where there are many different entertainment venues.

After lunch, we slowly gather and drive towards Barnaul.

On the last day, we have to drive about 150 km to Novokuznetsk (for those who will fly from Novokuznetsk, we order a separate transfer for them at our expense) or 500 km to Barnaul (for those who will fly from Barnaul).

The road passes through beautiful places, so it won't be boring. We'll have a snack at a trusted cafe on the way.

The flight should be scheduled for the next morning. We will help you book a hotel before departure.
