Autumn days in Altai. Everything is included

Dear friends, we are glad to see absolutely everyone on the horse tour, but we have to set the following restrictions:

The horse riding tour is not allowed:

• children under 12 years of age;
• people over 65 years of age;
• pregnant women.

Participation is not recommended:

• people in poor physical shape, people weighing more than 90 kg;
• people with chronic diseases / medical contraindications

During the route, you need to listen carefully, and at some points, follow the instructor's recommendations without question, because your safety depends on it, and in particular:

• warn the instructor that you are leaving the parking lot (for example, to go for a walk, take pictures, etc.). Be sure to tell them approximately what time you plan to be away and which way you are going to go;
• follow all the instructions of the instructor during the transition;
• do not be offended by the instructor when he gives objective recommendations.

It is quite easy to control a horse when hiking in mountainous terrain. In a column, the horses move independently one after the other. This is a familiar thing for them, they know the trails well. The rider's task is only:

• keep a distance between the horses (not too far and not too close);
• in some cases, while riding a horse, push off with your hand from tree trunks and protect your head from low branches.;
• do not let the horse eat grass all the time (to do this, pull on the reins and lift the horse's head);
• Don't drive through the bushes;
• strictly follow the path chosen by the instructor and do not enter dangerous places: steep slopes, deep places of rivers;
• don't let the horse jump off the rocks.
• A horse is a big and powerful animal. Make sure she doesn't accidentally step on your foot.
• You CAN'T approach the horse FROM BEHIND! Our horses are calm, but still they are HORSES :) They might get scared and kick.
• After making a planned or forced stop on the way, do not let go of the horse. You need to tie her down or ask an instructor/friend to hold her.
• Altai horses should be tied not by a leash, but by something – a special rope. The chamberlain is also used to urge a horse on or lead it.
• It is very important to keep the distance between the horses and keep up.
• The distance should be 2-3 meters. This distance between the riders allows you to save time on the journey, not to stray from the path chosen by the instructor, and to conserve the strength of the horses.
• If you realize that you are lagging behind, the horse needs to be urged on. To do this, use a drill - this is normal, the horse will not be hurt.
• Keep an eye on your feelings during the transition. If you feel that the saddle is "moving" left / right / forward/ backward, inform the instructor immediately.
• Keep an eye on the horse's condition – legs (lameness), back (bumps, abrasions). If you see something, inform the instructor.
• A horse is your best friend, companion and brother during a hike. Try to establish contact with her. So that you trust each other and there is mutual understanding between you – talk to the horse, praise, stroke, etc. It is well known that such attention is very pleasant to a horse! :)

Going on a tour in spring or autumn, it is worth remembering that the weather in the Altai mountains is very unpredictable! The air temperature ranges from +5°C to +20°During the day and from +5°C to -5°C at night.

Frequent and rapid changes in weather conditions are possible.

The tour participant must be ready for all weather changes and dressed for all occasions!

MAY and SEPTEMBER are the months when ticks become active in Altai. Therefore, it is advisable for every tourist to get vaccinated in advance.

There are vaccination centers in every city.

There are two types of vaccination: URGENT — at least 2 weeks before departure, and SIMPLE — 1 injection per month and another strengthening injection 2 weeks before departure.

Those who have not had time to get vaccinated can purchase the preventive drug YODANTIPYRIN recommended by the SES and start taking it according to the instructions 3 days before arriving in Altai.

By train or plane to Novosibirsk/Barnaul/Gorno-Altaysk. 
Then by bus (Novosibirsk/Barnaul/Gorno-Altaysk – Chemal) to the settlement of Elekmonar (7 km. before reaching Chemal village).

VIA GORNO-ALTAYSK:

Step 1. Visit any website that is convenient for you to purchase air tickets and buy tickets in the direction of Gorno-Altaysk (we will help you choose air tickets in advance).

Step 2. Arrive in Gorno-Altaysk and call the organizer, and within 5 minutes you will be met at the airport entrance.

The cost of transfer from Gorno-Altaysk to Elekmonar village and back is already included in the price of the tour.

Step 3. An hour later, you are already in a cozy guest house drinking tea and getting ready for a trip.

If unforeseen circumstances occur (flight delay, bus breakdown on the way, late arrival on a scheduled flight), call the organizer. We will not abandon anyone, we will wait for everyone and try to help as much as possible. The main thing is to keep us informed about your "adventures"!

VIA BARNAUL (without transfers):

Step 1. You get to Barnaul by air or rail.

Step 2. Take a minibus from the airport to the bus station. The bus station in Barnaul is located on the same square as the railway station.

Step 3. Purchase a bus / minibus ticket following the route Barnaul – Chemal (~ 1300 rubles).

Step 4. The journey from Barnaul to Elekmonar takes approximately 4.5 hours. When the bus/minibus arrives in the village of Maima, which borders the city of Gorno-Altaysk (where the mountainous area begins), call the organizer and inform them of your location.

Step 5. After driving for another hour and a half, inform the bus/minibus driver that you need to get off at the village of Elekmonar at the Shershnevka stop! The black and orange building of the Paleopark, which will be located on the left side of the bus, serves as a guideline for you to get off in 5 minutes.

Step 6. Get off the bus and call the organizer at one of the above numbers.

Step 7. You will be greeted within 5 minutes.

Step 1. You get to Barnaul by air or rail.

Step 2. Take a minibus from the airport to the bus station. The bus station in Barnaul is located on the same square as the railway station.

Step 3. Purchase a bus / minibus ticket following the route Barnaul – Gorno-Altaysk (~ 650 rubles).

Step 4. At the railway station of Gorno-Altaysk, purchase a bus ticket / take a taxi / take a minibus to the village of Chemal (~ 400 rubles).

Step 5. As soon as you leave the bus station, call the organizer and inform them that you have left.

Step 6. After driving for another hour and a half, inform the bus/minibus driver that you need to get off at the village of Elekmonar at the Shershnevka stop! The black and orange building of the Paleopark, which will be located on the left side of the bus, serves as a guideline for you to get off in 5 minutes.

Step 7. Get off the bus and call the organizer at one of the above numbers.

Step 8. You will be greeted within 5 minutes.

VIA NOVOSIBIRSK (without transfers):

Step 1. You get to Novosibirsk by air or railway transport.

Step 2. Take a shuttle bus from the airport to the railway station. The branch of the bus station is located on the forecourt near the railway station.

Step 3. Purchase a bus ticket on the route Novosibirsk – Chemal (~ 2200 rubles).

Step 4. The journey from Novosibirsk to Elekmonar takes approximately 9 hours. When the bus arrives in Gorno-Altaysk (where the highlands begin), call the organizer and let them know your location.

Step 5. After driving for another hour and a half, inform the bus/minibus driver that you need to get off in the Electric car at the Shershnevka stop! The black and orange building of the Paleopark, which will be located on the left side of the bus, serves as a guideline for you to get off in 5 minutes.

Step 6. Get off the bus and call the organizer at one of the above numbers.

Step 7. You will be greeted within 5 minutes.
