We invite you to go with us on an amazing route through one of the remote corners of the Altai Mountains. The path will be full of beautiful views and easy trekking without backpacks.

We will cover more than 2000 km in prepared SUVs. In particular, we will drive along the road that is included in the TOP10 most beautiful roads in the world — along the Chui tract.

And also: we will see the glacier of the Snow Leopard and Sofia, the Kurai ridge and the Chikhachev ridge, the valleys of the Akkol and Yustyd rivers, lakes Kuekhtanar, Kindyktykol and Heavenly. And we will visit the most popular tourist places — Altai "Mars" and "Luna".

Itinerary

Day 1 - Chuisky tract
Meeting at the airport of Gorno-Altaisk before 11.00 or Novokuznetsk (before 07.00)
Today we will drive along the road that is included in the TOP10 most beautiful roads in the world — the Chui tract. We will climb from a height of 294 m above sea level to a height of 1500 m above sea level.
Distances: 350 km (by car).
Day 2 - The pearls of the Kurai Range
Trekking to the Kuekhtanar lakes.
Distances: 12 km (trekking light).
Day 3 - Ancient glaciers
Car-walking tour to one of the glaciers of the Yuzhno-Chui ridge, which witnessed an ancient catastrophe — glacial super-flood. We will visit the epicenter of the strong earthquake of 2003, which almost completely destroyed the village of Beltir.
We will climb up the valley of the "white river" Akkol to the Sofia glacier.
Distances: 150 km (by car), 15 km (trekking).
Day 4 - The Kurai ridge. Altai Mars and the Moon
Hiking to one of the peaks of the Kurai ridge (3402 m.n.o.m.). Special training is not required.
Also on this day we will visit popular tourist places — Altai "Mars" and "Luna".
Distances: 10 km (by car), 10 km (trekking).
Day 5 - Kindyktykol Lake
Transfer to the high-altitude lake Kindyktykol (lake with a navel) along the Mongolian border, accommodation in houses with a stove. Trekking to the observation deck, which offers an unimaginable view of the Chikhachev ridge.
On the way we will visit the valley of the Yustyd River.
Distances: 70 km (by car), 6 km (trekking).
Accommodation: Kok-Kol mountain base, outdoor toilet, sauna.
Day 6 - On a visit to the leopards
Trekking to the Lake of Heaven and the glacier of the Snow Leopard.
Snow leopards, manuls and Altai argali mountain sheep live in these areas, so you should be especially careful here not to disturb these rare animals with your presence.
Distance: 15 km (trekking).
Day 7 - Completion of the tour
Transfer to Gorno-Altaysk (500 km), hotel accommodation.
If desired, on this day you can fly from Kosh-Agach by local airlines (paid separately, the average cost is approximately 3,500 rubles / person) and enjoy the view of the beautiful places that you previously visited personally. Or use the chance to take a second ride on one of the most beautiful roads in the world.
