Day 2 - Taezhnik Hotel – Kalbak-Tash

Today, the Chui Tract is the largest highway with a length of 962 km, connecting Russia and Mongolia.
This road was known more than a thousand years ago as the Mungalsky tract - trade caravans from the East to Russia and back went along it.
Tourists will learn more about the history of the unique tract during the tour. The group is expected to stop at the serpentine mountain pass Chike-Taman, as well as at the confluence of two great Altai rivers Chuya and Katun.

Once upon a time there was a warm Tethys Sea on the site of the Kyzyl-Chin Valley, after that there were glaciers and a cold lake. 4-6 thousand years ago, people already lived here.
Now geologists, archaeologists, and ethnographers conduct annual research here.
They jokingly call Kyzyl-Chin Mars — for the earth, painted in all sorts of shades of red and orange, for the blue-green-purple mountains.
What is more striking here is the landscapes or the history of the planet Earth captured in them, everyone decides for himself.

Geyser Lake (also called Blue Lake, Silver Lake).
The depth of the lake is about two meters, the diameter is 25-30 meters.
A large stream flows into the lake.
Geyser Lake is unique in its kind — rare in beauty, clean, frost-free even in winter and at the same time easily accessible to visitors of the Altai Mountains.
On the mirror of the lake, travelers will certainly notice streaks of rich turquoise color of rounded or oval shape, changing their appearance, which seem to reflect the processes taking place at the bottom of the lake, where "geysers" come to life from time to time in mysterious depths, sending a mixture of bluish clay and sand to the surface, forming visible circles at the bottom of the lake.

Day 4 - Red Gate – Ulagan Lakes – Ulagan Pass – Pazyryk Museum – Pazyryk mounds – Katu-Yaryk Pass

Transfer to the Chulyshman valley to the tourist campsite "Ezen".
The path of this day begins along the Chui tract, then in the village of Aktash the road turns onto the equally beautiful Ulagan tract, along which there are many beautiful and well-known places for many tourists, and travelers will definitely get acquainted with them.
Such places include the Red Gate, many high-altitude lakes of the Ulagan highlands, the Ulagansky pass, the village of Ulagan.

After lunch, the group continues on its way to the Chulyshman Valley.
One of the attractions that await tourists on their way to the valley is the Pazyryk mounds.
The Pazyryk burial mounds are a chain of 5 burial mounds representing the graves of noble nomads and tribal leaders dating back to the 6th–7th centuries BC..
Next, travelers will have an equally exciting meeting with the Katu-Yaryk pass.
The height to which the road rises is about 1,500 m.
The pass offers an impressive view of the valley of the Chulyshman River.

Day 5 - Radial access to Kurkure and Maldanash waterfalls

Day 6 - The Chulyshman River. Stone mushrooms. Teletskoye Lake

Stone mushrooms are stone pillars of a special shape – with a leg and a cap, similar to mushrooms.
The "leg" is made of softer limestone rocks that have been destroyed for centuries by the action of water and wind, which formed mushroom-like shapes.

This is a beautiful reservoir stretching from south to north for 75 km.
Clouds are reflected in the clear waters of the lake, which almost always rush in the sky over the water surface.
By the way, a unique phenomenon is the clouds floating in opposite directions in the sky above the lake.
This happens due to the winds blowing towards each other – verkhovka and nizovka.
On the way across the lake – an excursion to the Korbu waterfall.
The twelve-meter Korbu waterfall was formed as a result of the natural failure of the Korbu riverbed, originating from the mountain range of the same name.
Korbu Waterfall is not visible from the shore of the lake, but it is not long to walk to it – just a few minutes walk along the boardwalk and you can already hear the noise of water falling from a height, and almost immediately after that the waterfall itself appears before your eyes.
Opposite the Korbu waterfall is the deepest part of Lake Teletskoye – 323 m.
