Getting to know Altai. Along the Chuisky tract and the Martian Mountains

On the second day, a guided tour of the Belokurikha resort is planned, where guests will learn about the history of the resort, its infrastructure and interesting places to explore on their own.

There will also be an opportunity to collect healing water from the springs.

This is followed by a trip to Gornaya Belokurikha, a new resort under construction on the site where a rock stood at the beginning of the "two thousandth", today it is one of the most beautiful passes in the Siberian district.

We will overcome 12 serpentine turns and 62 angles of rotation.

For the convenience and safety of drivers and passengers, there are four "pockets" and three observation decks with views of the serpentine.

Upstairs, guests will visit art objects, the Andreevskaya Sloboda Museum and the city Museum.

For those who do not want to actively move, it is an excellent option to walk to the Katun River through the pine forest.

Next, pleasant emotions – we take motorboats across the Katun River to the other shore, where the Kamyshlinsky waterfall is.

Fluffy bunnies are jumping around the waterfall.

And a motorcycle ride is a great emotional walk!

In the village of Chemal, you will get acquainted with the unique island of Patmos (the temple on the island of the Katun River).

We'll walk over the suspension bridge to it.

And then we will walk along the Katun along the goat trail to the Chemalskaya hydroelectric power station.

We will have lunch on the route at a cafe where the food is excellent.

We return late to the resort, have a late dinner at the hotel cafe.

This day will be dedicated to a small but very interesting tour of the places of power of Belokurikha.

You will get acquainted with sacred places that have a special energy and power.

The tour begins with an ascent on a passable vehicle into the mountains, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the foothills.

Then you will reach the rocks of the “Four Brothers” — these are rocks in the taiga about 10 meters high, about which there are many interesting legends.

We will climb Krugaya Mountain (801m), which offers amazing panoramic views. It is believed that these natural objects have a special energy, and in order to get the most out of them, it is necessary to have the right attitude and faith in their power.

The tour will take approximately 3.5 hours.

This day can be complemented by horseback riding and a stroll around the resort.

On this day, after breakfast, we are going on a trip along the Chuisky highway, which is one of the TOP 10 most beautiful roads in the world according to National Geographic magazine.

You will be delighted with the changing landscapes: mountains, rivers, passes, taiga, steppes (it is better not to let go of the camera).

The Chuisky Tract is the oldest route from Siberia to Asia. According to some historians, the Chui Highway runs along the northern branch of the Great Silk Road.

Nowadays, this 968 km route starts from Novosibirsk and ends at the border with Mongolia. We will drive about 400 km.

We will pass two mountain passes — Seminsky and Chike-Tamansky. We will stop at these beautiful places, local markets and cafes for a snack.

We will observe from the observation deck, which is considered a sacred place among the Altaians, the confluence of mountain rivers.

We reach our comfortable hotel, have dinner and relax.

The distance on this day is about 450 km, but thanks to the amazing scenery and excellent road quality, time will fly by unnoticed.

This day will bring brightness! It is the brightness, because we will go to the colored mountains called Mars.

We have breakfast and are on our way.

Continuing our journey along the amazing Chuisky highway, we will admire the white peaks of the North Chuisky range.

Then there is another reason for surprise and admiration — the Martian mountains. This is a wonderful place for photographers, for lovers of geology and for lovers of beauty.

These hills are extraordinarily beautiful, as if they are painted with different colors.

A unique place in the village of Kyzyl-Chin, which translates from Turkic as "red gorge".

Each layer was formed in a certain period. The color of the breed depends on the time. According to scientists, the red-brown layers formed more than 300 million years ago. And once there was an ancient sea here.

We usually end this trip with a picnic and share our impressions around the campfire.

You will see all the local attractions of the Chuisky tract and take unforgettable pictures.

After breakfast, an excursion to Geyser Lake, a pulsating lake that is a unique body of water and has no analogues in Russia.

The water in the lake does not freeze all year round, but it is not intended for swimming in summer either. There are no descents to the water, and the bottom is covered with clay silt and algae.

The water temperature in the Geyser Lake does not rise above +10 degrees even in the hottest weather.

The lake attracts photo lovers, and it makes great shots. When we admire, we can look at different drawings (they say the lake predicts if you read what it has drawn correctly).

Then we will get acquainted with the Red Gate — the cliffs rise tens of meters into the sky, and the road seems to cut through them with a narrow ribbon.

We take pictures and go through the passes on the way back.

The distance is approximately 360 km.

Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk at about 19:00.
