Itinerary

Day 1 - Novosibirsk – Gorno-Altaysk – village of Aktash
We get on the bus and go to Gorno-Altaysk.
Those interested can join the group at the Museum of the Altai Republic in Gorno-Altaisk.
At the beginning of our trip, we will visit the museum of the Altai Republic to get to know the region of our trip, the customs and traditions of local residents.
Then we head to the village of Aktash, we will spend 6-7 hours on the road.
On the way, we will make stops at cafes and at the picturesque observation deck of the Chike Taman pass.
In the late afternoon we arrive at the recreation center.
Accommodation and dinner.

Day 2 - Geyser Lake – Kidelu Lake – Elu Waterfall – Katu Pass-Yaryk
After an early breakfast, we will go to the legendary Geyser Lake with an unusual color of water.
After that, we go to another fabulous place – the Katu-Yaryk pass.
On the way, we will make a stop at the picturesque Kidel Lake, where our heart will be conquered by impeccable panoramas against the background of snow-capped Altai peaks.
And, of course, we will visit the Elu waterfall with a magnificent view of the canyon.
The pass offers a panoramic view of the valley with its large-scale vistas, steep slopes and majestic Chulyshman.
Let's spend more time photographing and contemplating the unique Altai landscape.
On the way back, we will hurry to catch the sunset light to Kidel Lake.
Car: 200 km. On foot: up to 2 km light. Accommodation: cabins.

Day 3 - Severo-Chuisky ridge and Kuekhtanar lakes
Before dawn, we will hit the road to meet the sunrise on one of the best viewing platforms of the Chui tract, which will color the beautiful North Chui ridge in golden color.
This is a truly unique sight.
After that, we will stop at the store to buy food for a lunch snack and after 40 km we will be at the beginning of the trail to the Kuektanar lakes – one of the most inaccessible, but picturesque locations.
We will cover about 5 km to the first lake with an altitude of 450 m.
It's definitely worth it.
The magnificent lake, framed by golden trees, is really impressive.
After a lunch snack on the shore of the lake, we will set off on our way back.
Car: 70 km. On foot: 12 km light. Height difference: 450 m. Accommodation: cabins.

Day 4 - Mars – Kurai Steppe – Aktru Alpine camp
In general, early ascents motivate you to perform feats.
If desired, we will meet the dawn on Krasnaya Gorka, and after breakfast we will transfer to SUVs that will take us to Mars.
Of course, this is not the planet Mars, but the similarity with the Martian landscapes will definitely impress you.
We are going further in order to capture the beautiful landscape of the Kurai steppe.
We will drive cross-country vehicles through the entire Kurai steppe to the valley of the Aktru glaciers.
The very road to the alpine camp is an adventure in itself.
Let's stay in the guest house, and go for a walk, take pictures and enjoy the views of real big mountains with snow caps.

Day 5 - A day at the Aktru alpine camp
We walk around the Theater all day and marvel at the beautiful landscapes.
Real glaciers of Bolshoy and Maly Aktru, textured rocks, a mountain river playing in the sun, cascading waterfalls and river rifts, golden larches, people, ice and snow.
Everyone will be able to make unique frames for their collection.
A bathhouse awaits us in the evening. A great rest after a busy day.

Day 6 - Aktru Alpine Camp – Yeshtykel Plateau – Dzhangyskol Lake
Early in the morning we go out to the already liked shooting points.
And already in the dawn colors we shoot our favorite landscapes.
We get into the shift and drive back to the Chui highway along the picturesque Kurai steppe.
On the way, we make a small detour and stop at a unique place – the Yeshtykel plateau and the beautiful Dzhangyskol lake.
Many people compare the Yeshtykel plateau with the famous Ukok Plateau and call it the "Ukok Plateau in miniature".
In the evening we will be accommodated at the base in Aktau.
On foot up to 3 km, by car 50 km.

Day 7 - S. Aktash – P. Cherga
After breakfast, the transfer to the village of Cherga will take us about 5-6 hours.
On the way, we will make a stop at the Kalbak-Tash open-air museum, where we will see ancient petroglyphs and feel the powerful energy of Altai.
We will also see the Shirlak waterfall and the mighty Behemoth threshold on the Chuya River.
We are located in a picturesque place at the recreation center.
We will spend the rest of the day exploring the surrounding area and getting to know local pets.
A delicious dinner awaits us in the evening.
Accommodation is 2-3-4-seater.
Meals: breakfast, dinner.

Day 8 - P. Cherga – Gorno-Altaysk – Novosibirsk
In the morning, after breakfast, we leave for Novosibirsk, on the way, if necessary, we will stop at the airport in Gorno-Altaisk.
The journey will take about 9 hours.
On the way, we will make a stop at a large souvenir market.
You can't leave Altai without buying souvenirs, both edible and not.
The approximate time of arrival in Gorno-Altaysk is 14-15:00, the travel time may change +/- 1h depending on the situation on the road.
We recommend buying tickets for evening flights or the next day to walk around the capital of the Altai Republic.
If you are traveling through Novosibirsk, we recommend visiting the local zoo, water park and aquarium.

The route does not require special physical training and will be suitable for children over 12 years old and beginners in tourism; at the same time, good physical shape is recommended for climbing the mountains of Aktru
