Itinerary

Day 1 - Manzherok Resort Cable Car
The route starts from the city of Biysk or Gorno-Altaysk, meeting the group:
at the railway station of Biysk at 07:40;
at the airport of Gorno-Altaysk upon arrival of the morning flight.
Today we will get acquainted with the Chuisky highway, a legendary highway that is one of the TOP 10 most beautiful roads in the world.
During the trip, we will climb the longest cable car in Siberia (the length of the ascent is 2,516 meters, the height difference is 633 meters) to the top of Malaya Sinyukha Mountain (1,020 meters above sea level), offering stunning views of the bends of the Katun River and the bizarre outlines of the mountain ranges stretching into the distance.
Then we will walk along the bank of the Katun River to Kamyshlinsky waterfall. After 2.5 km of walking through a wonderful pine forest, you will see a noisy, 12-meter, falling stream of water.
By evening, we are accommodated at the campsite.
Car route: 200 km.
Walking route: 1 km at the top of Malaya Sinyukha mountain, 5 km to Kamyshlinsky waterfall (round trip).
Day 2 - Chemalsky tract
Today our journey will continue along the Chemalsky highway.
We move along the bank of the Katun River.
On the way, we will climb to the Che-Chkysh waterfall and an observation deck on the valley of the Katun River, stop on the shore next to the Yelandinsky threshold, visit the Orokto Bridge, next to which is the narrowest and deepest place on the Katun River.
By car: 140 km. Walking distance: 4 km.
Day 3 - Karakol Valley. Petroglyphs. Lake Aru-Kem
We continue our journey along the Chuisky highway.
We will make an ascent, stop and walk along the Seminsky pass, the highest automobile pass of the Chuisky tract.
After descending from the pass, we will visit the Karakol valley.
The Uch-Enmek Nature Park is located on the territory of the valley, which is a sacred place for the Altai people.
Many millennia ago, it was at this place that various civilizations and epochs intersected.
There are a large number of archaeological sites in the park – petroglyphs, balbals – stone steles, mounds.
The density of such facilities here is the highest in Altai.
After exploring the mounds and stone steles, we will take a short walking trip and see Lake Aru-Kem hidden in the mountains – the pearl of the Karakol Valley.
Located near the mountain peak of Uch-Enmek, which is a sacred peak for the local population, the surroundings of the lake are considered a place of worship of the Altai people.
After the trip, we stay at a campsite in a nature park.
By car: 130 km. Walking distance: 1 km through the park, 6 km to Lake Aru-Kem (round trip).
Day 4 - Panoramas of the Chuisky tract
We leave the Karakol valley and re-enter the Chuisky tract.
Today is the busiest day in terms of the number of attractions that we will visit during a car trip along the highway – the Chike Taman pass, the Tsaplinsky Bridge, the confluence of the Chuya and Katuni rivers, rock carvings, the old Chuya tract, the Shirlak waterfall, Geyser Lake, the panorama of the glaciers of the North Chuya range.
By evening, we are accommodated at the campsite.
By car: 260 km. Walking distance: 2 km to visit the sights.
Day 5 - Mars Branch Office on Earth
On this day, we will see a real miracle of Altai nature - the Martian landscapes of Kyzyl-Chin.
This is a wonderful place not only for photographers, geologists, but also for lovers of beauty.
The mountains seem to be striped in different shades of red, yellow and green!
No wonder Kyzyl-Chin is called a branch of Mars on Earth!
We will climb to the surrounding peak, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the surroundings – the panorama of the Yuzhno-Chuisky ridge, the valley of the Chagan-Uzun River and the gorge of the Kyzyl-Chin River with its "Mars-2".
Then we will descend to Mars-2 and return to the launch site along the Kyzyl-Chin stream. the landmark "Mars-1".
We return to the campsite in the evening.
After visiting Mars, we will go deeper into the Chuya steppe and take a road trip to the village of Kokoria and the valley of the Kyzyl-Shin River, where we will see the riot of colors of the most beautiful canyon of the river.
Then we will set off on the way back along the already familiar roads of the Chuisky tract.
By car: 160 km. Walking distance: 7 km.
Day 6 - A trip to the Kuektanar lakes
Today we will have a walking trip to the Kuektanar lakes along the mountain taiga trail, which is constantly climbing.
Depending on the illumination, the water in the lakes changes its color from rich blue to emerald green.
We return to the campsite in the evening.
By car: 120 km. Walking distance: 12 km (round trip).
Day 7 - The return journey
Today we have to return along the Chuisky highway to the cities of Gorno-Altaysk and Biysk.
On the way, we will again be able to enjoy the beautiful blooming valleys and magnificent views of Altai, as well as buy souvenirs and gifts for relatives and friends.
We will be in Biysk approximately at 19:00.
By car: 440 km. Walking distance of 1 km.
