Itinerary

Day 1 - The beginning of the path
Departure from Novosibirsk/Barnaul in the village of Ust-Koksa.
Departure from Novosibirsk at 20:00.
The place of departure is 64 Shamshin Family Street.
Departure from Barnaul at 23:50 (local time, Moscow time +4).
Length: by car – 875 km from Novosibirsk / 640 km from Barnaul.
Food: on the road at your own expense.
Day 2 - Ust-Koksa
Arrival at the tourist complex in Ust-Koksa village.

Ust-Koksa is a picturesque village located in the Uymon Valley on the banks of the Koksa River.

If desired, you can visit the confluence of two rivers –Cokes and Katunis.

Lunch.

Safety instructions, getting equipment.

Dating night.

Feeding: breakfast is on the road at your own expense, lunch and dinner are at the base.
Habitation: camping.
Day 3 - Kuyguk Valley
Breakfast.

Transfer to the village of Maralnik.

Transfer to the Kuyguk Valley.

The path passes through coniferous forests and verdant alpine meadows.

Kuyguk Valley – "Singing Gorge" is a very picturesque and cozy valley with many small waterfalls.

The crown of our day is one of the most beautiful and full-flowing waterfallsAltai with a height of 25 m and the beautiful milky turquoise lake Kuyguk!

Overnight at the waterfall parking lot.

Length: on foot + pack horses – 14 km.
Meals: breakfast is at the base, lunch and dinner are in the camp kitchen.
Accommodation: overnight in tents.
Day 4 - Kuyguk Pass
Today we have to overcome the Kuyguk pass (1A, 2500 m), which offers a beautiful view: the turquoise Achan lakes and the sacred Kolban mountain!

On the way to the pass, waterfalls, snowfields, huge glades of blue aquilegia and Alpine poppies, and a family of marmots are waiting for you!

Overnight in the Akchan valley.

Length: walking distance is 8 km.
Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner – camp kitchen.
Accommodation: overnight in tents.
Day 5 - Spare day
A spare day in case of bad weather.

If the weather is good, we will use this day for additional walks on the Alla Askyr Lake.

If it is bad, we will have a simple walk to Lake Akchan with a visit to beautiful waterfalls.

Length: walking distance is 4 km.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner – camp kitchen.
Accommodation: overnight in tents.
Day 6 - The pass is harsh
Early ascent and storming of the Harsh pass (1B, 2760 m).

Ascent to the pass saddle along the rope railing.

The pass offers stunning panoramic views of the Yeshtu valley with its eighteen lakes against the backdrop of the Katun ridge!

Belukha, the highest mountain in Altai, can be seen on the eastern horizon.

Descent into the Yeshtu valley to the Alla-Askyr lake.

Overnight on the shore of Lake Alla Askyr.

Length: on foot – 1 km.
Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner – camp kitchen.
Accommodation: overnight in tents.
Day 7 - Lake Alla-Askyr
A day of rest at the Alla-Askyr lake.

Relaxation, socializing, photography, swimming in the lake.

Let's go up to the low panoramic rampart behind the lake.

The easiest day of our hike.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner – camp kitchen.
Accommodation: overnight in tents.
Day 8 - Kyrgyz Lake
Crossing to Lake Kyrgyz.

On this day we have to pass an unnamed pass (2,863 m).

The pass offers a beautiful view of the picturesque Sarybel Valley, the valleys of the Yeshtu and Kyrgyz rivers. In total, about 35 lakes of different colors and sizes can be seen from the pass!

In the background to the South and East is the huge Katun Ridge.

In the distance to the north, you can see the Uimon Valley.

Overnight in a cozy parking lot on the shore of Lake Kyrgyz.

Length: on foot – 9 km.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner are camp kitchens.
Accommodation: overnight in tents.
Day 9 - Akchan River
Descent to the valley of the Akchan river.

As we descend, we will move from the zone of alpine meadows to the zone of coniferous forest.

On the way, we will inspect the "stone castles" – amazingly folded stones of bizarre shape.

Bonfire, comfort, good mood.

Length: on foot + pack horses – 10 km.

Day 10 - Equestrian Pass
Return to the village of Multa-Maralnik.

On the last day of the active part of our trip, we will pass the simple Equestrian pass.

If we're lucky, we'll see a herd of semi-wild horses.

Free time: walking, buying souvenirs and Altai honey.

In the afternoon, departure to Barnaul/Novosibirsk.

Length: by car – 640 km to Barnaul / 875 km to Novosibirsk.
Food: breakfast and lunch are at the base, dinner is on the road at your own expense.
Day 12 - End of the program
Arrival in Barnaul/Novosibirsk.
Approximate arrival in Barnaul at 6:30, in Novosibirsk at 09:00 (local time, Moscow time +4).

It's important to know

Documents – passport, medical policy.
The money is for additional expenses (meals on the road, a sauna, souvenirs, etc.).
Clothes:
- Warm clothes: a jacket or down jacket, warm trousers (for example, with fleece lining), a warm sweater (made of wool or fleece), warm socks, gloves, a hat.
- Raincoat or waterproof storm jacket. A fabric raincoat with taped seams or a membrane jacket will do. If you decide to take an inexpensive, oilcloth raincoat, take several pieces at once (with a margin).
- Waterproof/windproof pants. Fabric trousers with taped seams from the "jacket/pants" kits, which are sold in hunting, fishing, tourism stores, or membrane trousers, will be suitable.
- The main set of clothes: lightweight sweatpants for transitions, several T-shirts, underwear, several pairs of socks, a sun hat.
- Sleepwear: a set of thermal underwear or a thin knitted set (T-shirt with sleeves and tights). A separate pair of warm socks.
Shoes:
- Trekking boots (you can wear well-worn "boots" or other high boots with a solid sole).
- Sneakers or sneakers.
- Slates.
Personal first aid kit:
