This tour is perfect for lovers of mountain lakes. During our vacation, we will go trekking to five mountain lakes and two waterfalls. We'll also go for a boat ride, see the forest chipmunks and take a walk through the cedar forests.

Itinerary

Day 1 - The city of Gorno-Altaysk is a settlement. Ground
10:00 Gathering of the group at the airport in Gorno-Altaysk.
Today we will have a long drive to the mountainous part of Altai (350 km, about 6-7 hours on the way).
On the way, we will make a stop at the Seminsky pass and take a walk through the souvenir market.
The Altai market will delight you with delicious honey, teas, wooden magnets and delicious jam.
Arrival in the village of Zamulta, accommodation at the campsite.
Active part: 2 km on foot.

Day 2 - Lower and Middle Multin lakes, trekking for rolling Noises
In the morning, mountain transport will take us higher into the mountains, to the Lower Multinsky Lake.
Check-in at the tourist complex from 13:00.
Civilization, bustle, shops and noisy roads are far behind.
In the coming days, we will be happy to enjoy the untouched beauty of the Altai mountains and lakes.
After arrival, we immediately go for a walk!
We go out to the shore of the lower Multin lake – and it immediately takes your breath away!
The reservoir is huge, snow–capped mountains are visible in the distance, and around, as far as the eye can see, endless cedar forests!
We will walk along the forest path along the lower lake and come out to the middle Multinsky lake.
Between the lakes, nature has created a picturesque rolling of water among huge stones – Noises.
Let's take a picture of this unusual place and set off on our way back.

Day 3 - Upper Multinskoye Lake
When you walk near the lower lake, snow peaks flaunt and beckon you in the distance.
Today we will go straight to the foot of these snowy mountains!
We will cross 2 reservoirs by boats, then on foot!
The trail will take us through cedar forests and alpine meadows.
It's so unusual, but there are practically no climbs here!
For the entire track, we will gain only 100 m vertically!
If it has been raining recently, we recommend going on the route in rubber boots, as the trail becomes very dirty.
A few hours later, we come to the upper lake!
Mountains, snow, glaciers, bizarre driftwood in the water.
Everything here breathes space and silence.

Day 4 - Kuyguk Lake and Waterfall
The valley of the Kuyguk River will delight us not only with a magnificent emerald lake, but also with a spectacular waterfall!
The rivers of Altai are very stormy and full-flowing.
That is why stunning waterfalls are born here.
The height of our waterfall is about 30 meters, standing next to it, you fully feel the power and might of the water.
Rising above the waterfall, we will see the first, small pond.
After walking a little more, we will find ourselves on the shore of Lake Kuyguk.
As soon as you approach its shore, your breath stops!
In front of you is a huge, emerald lake, which is guarded by snowy mountains.
Silence hovers around, birds occasionally soar.
It is at such moments that you want to stop time, sit and admire such beauty.
We will arrange lunch and a big rest near the lake.

Day 5 - Observation deck overlooking the Multin lakes
Let's take a bird's-eye view of our lakes!
We'll ride horses part of the way.
We will leave the horses at the end of the cedar forest, and then we will reach the top on foot.
From here, from an incredible height, we will admire the Lower and Middle Multin Lakes, see the valley of the Krepkaya River and neighboring valleys.
In addition, let's look over the ridge, which opens up another endless valley of Altai!
Interestingly, in this valley, the green backs of the mountain ranges were overgrown with dark cedars and looked like the ridges of huge dinosaurs.
The observation mountain is a unique point.
It's definitely worth going here.

Day 6 - Transverse Lake
There is a hike to the Transverse Lake ahead.
We'll leave early today, as we have a long way to go.
We will follow the already familiar path to the fork: the right path goes to the upper Multinsky lake, and today we turn left.
A short ascent through the forest – and we are moving again through the zone of alpine meadows.
At some point, the path seems endless, but suddenly, after another hillock, a lake opens in front of you.
The valley is decorated with mountains with glaciers, at the foot of which there is a huge lake.
Watersheds, mountaineers and such rare, fiery roasts bloom on its shore in July.
No photo will convey this amazing beauty.
In this place, you will finally and irrevocably fall in love with Altai.

Day 7 - Transfer to Gorno-Altaysk
Today we are going to have a long trip to Gorno-Altaysk.
On the way, we will make a stop at the Seminsky pass and take a walk through the souvenir market.
The Altai market will delight you with delicious honey, teas, wooden magnets and delicious jam.
16:00-17:00 Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk.

The route is trekking and provides for walking through mountainous (rugged) terrain. The route passes through forest trails, dirt roads, alpine meadows, large and small stones. Slippery soil is possible underfoot after rain. There will be a passage of small rivers over rocks along the route. The height difference per day is from 100 to 350 m, in one day the difference will be 580 m. Climbing up 100-350 m is about like climbing 35-120 floors. The route runs at an altitude of 920 – 2580 m. Route length: 84.8 km.

It's important to know

passport / birth certificate of the child. It is mandatory to have the original documents (not a copy);
cap / panama hat;
jacket. The air temperature in the early morning and late evening is +8...+12C;
fleece. In autumn, we recommend taking 2 fleeces: one for walking on the route (it gets a hiking smell quickly enough), the second clean and fresh fleece for walking in the hotel;
T-shirt;
lightweight long sleeve shirt. The shirt will protect your arms and neck from burning;
Buff. Protects the neck from burning, can be used as a headdress;

flip-flops (for walking in a hotel);

for girls on request: a dress for a photo shoot on the background of mountains;
waterproof clothing or raincoat;
trekking poles, sticks significantly reduce the load on the knees. Physically strong and healthy tourists are recommended to have sticks with them. Tourists who have problems with knees, joints and overweight must have trekking poles;

backpack for walking (volume 20-35 liters). The backpack contains the tourist's personal belongings (fleece, raincoat, water bottle, etc.), as well as public products for lunch, which are issued by the instructor (the weight of the products is 400-600 grams);

The trip to Baikal was a success! The organization of the tour was impeccable. Thanks to the manager in the Big Country Yulia Trubinova. All the planned trips were at a good level, the accommodation also corresponded to the promised, i.e. with all amenities. Many thanks to our instructor of the Voskhod tour club - Alexey Dusenko and all the participants of the tour. Thanks to them, the tour turned out to be very interesting, rich and diverse for me. Of course, Baikal must be seen firsthand, photos and videos will only remind you of these days, and will not convey all the beauty! It is also remarkable that we were very lucky with the weather. The sun was shining, the ice shone like crystal. I am very glad that I was lucky enough to see all this and meet such wonderful people!
