Day 2 - Excursion "Severodvinsk — the city by the White Sea". Visit to Jagra Island

During the tour, you will hear the history of the founding and formation of the city from the time of the Nikolo-Korel Monastery to the grandiose construction of Molotovsk, which was once the name of Severodvinsk, the Center of nuclear shipbuilding.
After exploring the city, you will go to the southern coast of the Arctic — to the island of Jagra.
You will enjoy a walk along the embankment and stunning views of the White Sea and ice hummocks.
Here, on the border of the pine forest and the sea coast, there is a military memorial complex and a memorial sign in honor of the sailors of the Kursk nuclear submarine.

Day 3 - Bus tour to the "Antonievo-Siysky monastery"

Duration: 7 hours.
The Holy Trinity Antonievo-Siysky Monastery is located in the Kholmogorsky district.
In 2020, the monastery celebrated 500 years.
The monastery was founded in 1520 by St. Anthony on a small island of Lake Mikhailovsky, at the headwaters of the Sii River.
According to its first and main temple, it is named the Holy Trinity Monastery.
Fyodor Nikitich Romanov, the father of Mikhail Fedorovich, the founder of the Romanov dynasty, was exiled here.
In the XVI–XVII centuries. The Antonievo-Siysky Monastery was the largest spiritual and cultural center of Podvinye.
The traditional occupations at the monastery were icon painting, book copying and book printing.
In the 19th century, the abbots of the monastery served as rectors of the Arkhangelsk Theological Seminary, and also engaged in missionary work among the small peoples of the North.
Now the library and the icon painting workshop are working here again.
It runs its own farm, and monastery buildings are gradually being revived and restored.
The end of the excursion program is after 17:00.
