Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Zaonezhye, Belomorkanal and petroglyphs

    08:15 Meeting at the Petrozavodsk railway station and departure by bus in the direction of Belomorsk.

    Stop and a short tour of the city of Medvezhegorsk.

    Inspection of the gateway of the White Sea-Baltic Canal in the village of Povenets and the church of St. Nicholas, built in memory of the prisoners who died during the construction of the BBK.

    A visit to the Sandarmokh tract – the place of mass graves of the repressed and prisoners of the Gulag.

    12:30 Lunch.

    16:15 Arrival in Zalavruga. Here, on the islands of the Vyg River, there are White Sea petroglyphs. The rock carvings, which are at least 4.5–5.5 thousand years old, are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

    Transfer to the village of Rabochiostrovsk. Accommodation at the hotel.

    You can skip this day and come to Kem by train from St. Petersburg/Moscow. In this case, you will be met at night at the railway station and brought to the hotel. Breakfast in the morning and then according to the program for 2 and 3 days. In this case, the cost of the tour will decrease by 4,500 rubles per person.

    Accommodation in Belomorsk is possible for some arrivals. Please specify the information when booking.

The cost of the tour for 1 person, depending on the accommodation:

Due to the specifics of booking and room blocks, the exact location of the accommodation is confirmed no later than a week before the start of the tour.

Kemka Hotel 1 night

Kemka Hotel is a cozy place to relax in the city of Kem, Republic of Karelia. 

The rooms of the hotel have an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. After a busy day, you can relax in the private bathroom, which has everything you need: cosmetic kits and terry towels. The rooms also have a refrigerator, air conditioning and cable TV. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge.

The hotel allows pets upon prior request.

There is a restaurant next to the hotel where you can order a la carte dishes. There is also a barbecue area on site where you can cook your own meals. The bar offers a wide selection of drinks.

It is convenient to get to the center of Kemi by public transport from the Kemka Hotel, as there are stops nearby.
