Kargopol, Solvychegodsk and Veliky Ustyug

We invite you to get rid of momentary problems for a while, plunge into the world of temple architecture of Ancient Russia, feel the great spiritual heritage that our ancestors bequeathed to us so that we keep in our hearts a sense of beauty and harmony of the world.

You will get acquainted with the spiritual symbols of the Russian North — the Church of Procopius the Righteous in Veliky Ustyug and the Cathedral of the Nativity in Kargopol, the reviving monastery of Alexander Oshevensky in Kargopol and the Cathedral of the Annunciation — the house church of the Stroganov merchants in Solvychegodsk.

A pleasant addition to the tour program will be an acquaintance with folk crafts and crafts of the Russian North — Kargopol clay toy, blackening on silver, birch bark craft and weaving. And a rustic Oshevenski lunch with lots of pies from a Russian oven will be a real feast for the guests.
