The archipelago of the Body is a pearl necklace of the White Sea.

Tundra–covered cliffs, glacier-smoothed stone foreheads of rocks, mirrors of relict swamps, miniature trees hiding from the winds in crevices - every step up the slope of the German Body Island (the highest mark in the entire Karelian White Sea) opens up new, stunningly beautiful landscapes.

10:00 Group bus and walking tour "Sekirnaya Mountain. Holy Ascension Skete".

Is it possible to find a more secluded, peaceful and contemplative place in this world? The hermitage is active, and everyone who comes here has a chance for a special encounter with a person who knows something more about our world.

We will visit one of the highest points of Bolshoy Solovetsky Island, Mount Sekirnaya, from the top of which you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the northern part of Bolshoy Solovetsky Island and the White Sea.

We will learn the history of the monuments of the current Holy Ascension Skete, where there was a penal isolation unit during the time of the Solovetsky camp.

Tip: don't forget to take a picture with the unique lighthouse church, which became a penal isolation unit during the time of the ELEPHANT.

Then we head to the most beautiful place – the botanical garden "Makaryevskaya desert".

We will visit one of the northernmost botanical gardens in Russia, which is located on the territory of the former Makaryevskaya desert, see unique plantings and a stunning view of the ensemble of the Solovetsky Monastery, opening from Alexandrovskaya Hill.

An exciting walking tour is dedicated to the part of the island that is located behind the monastery walls, in the world.

Like an ancient scroll, the Solovetsky stories unfold in the southern part of the village, and from the guide's words, century after century, the modern world grows.

Here we are walking through the land where ancient people lived in the sixth millennium BC, after half an hour we put up a cell next to elders Savvati and Herman, we are transported back to the time of the Solovetsky camp and return to modern monastic life.
