Day 1 - Arrival at Solovki. Tour of the Solovetsky Monastery
At least one hour before the departure of the ship, you must arrive at the place of departure of the ship.
If your train arrives earlier or later, then the departure time to Solovki can be changed (it all depends on the availability of seats on the ship). Please check the information with the manager when booking.
08:00/12:30 Departure by boat from Rabochiostrovsk.
10:00/14:30 Arrival at Solovki.
Meeting and transfer to the hotel. Tourists leave their belongings in the room.
Solovetsky lunch in a cafe.
Group sightseeing tour of the Solovetsky Monastery (2.5 hours).

The monastery is not only a historical landmark. It is a functioning monastery and an opportunity to meet people who devote themselves to fasting and prayer.
You will visit the territory of the central complex of the monastery, active temples, monuments included in the UNESCO list, objects of economic activity and learn more about its difficult history.

Day 2 - The long lip. Bolshoy Zayatsky Island
Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Long Lip sea tour with mussel tasting (4.5 hours).
Immerse yourself in the magic of Solovki: embark on a sea voyage along the Long Bay, the "inner sea" of the archipelago, where the elements tame their temper even in bad weather.
On a traditional motorized carbase, you glide along sandy beaches, pass a scattering of islands and admire rocky ridges, as if frozen in water.
And finally— a tasting of fresh local mussels, the taste of which will be remembered for a long time.
2:30 p.m. Lunch at a cafe.
15:00 Group sea tour "Sights of Bolshoy Zayatsky Island" (3 hours).
Zayatsky Island is unique. It is special even in the list of Solovetsky Islands, because it offers an amazing panorama of the Solovetsky Monastery.
A delicate floral and berry carpet, dancing birches and gray glacial boulders. An atmosphere of immense peace and happiness.
18:00 Return to the hotel.

Day 3 - The Archipelago of the Body

The archipelago of the Body is a pearl necklace of the White Sea.
As if a stone giant, passing by, threw a handful of gems into the sea, and now two dozen islands are drifting across the vast expanses of water.
Tundra–covered cliffs, glacier-smoothed stone foreheads of rocks, mirrors of relict swamps, miniature trees hiding from the winds in crevices - every step up the slope of the German Body Island (the highest mark in the entire Karelian White Sea) opens up new, stunningly beautiful landscapes.

Day 4 - The Axe Mountain. Holy Ascension Hermitage. The Botanical garden "Makaryevskaya pustyn"
Breakfast at the hotel.
10:00 Group bus and walking tour "Sekirnaya Mountain. Holy Ascension Skete".
Is it possible to find a more secluded, peaceful and contemplative place in this world? The hermitage is active, and everyone who comes here has a chance for a special encounter with a person who knows something more about our world.
We will visit one of the highest points of Bolshoy Solovetsky Island, Mount Sekirnaya, from the top of which you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the northern part of Bolshoy Solovetsky Island and the White Sea.
We will learn the history of the monuments of the current Holy Ascension Skete, where there was a penal isolation unit during the time of the Solovetsky camp.
Tip: don't forget to take a picture with the unique lighthouse church, which became a penal isolation unit during the time of the ELEPHANT.
Then we head to the most beautiful place – the botanical garden "Makaryevskaya desert".
We will visit one of the northernmost botanical gardens in Russia, which is located on the territory of the former Makaryevskaya desert, see unique plantings and a stunning view of the ensemble of the Solovetsky Monastery, opening from Alexandrovskaya Hill.

15:00 Group walking tour of the Solovetsky archipelago (3 hours).
An exciting walking tour is dedicated to the part of the island that is located behind the monastery walls, in the world.
Like an ancient scroll, the Solovetsky stories unfold in the southern part of the village, and from the guide's words, century after century, the modern world grows.
Here we are walking through the land where ancient people lived in the sixth millennium BC, after half an hour we put up a cell next to elders Savvati and Herman, we are transported back to the time of the Solovetsky camp and return to modern monastic life.

Day 5 - "Solovetsky Venice"
Breakfast at the hotel.
Room release.
Transfer to the boat station.
10:00 Boat trip along the small circle of the lake and canal system "Solovetskaya Venice" (3 hours).
The tour is for those who love tranquility and birdsong.
We will go by boat to the very heart of the island along the Solovetsky lakes and canals.
We won't have to row, because we travel by electric motor.
Lunch at a cafe.
Free time.
Transfer to the pier.

The Solovetskaya Sloboda Hotel is located in the central part of the village, a three-minute walk from the world-famous Solovetsky Monastery and 187 meters from the Gulag Museum.

My 4-day trip to Arkhangelsk in February 2026 left me with unforgettable memories. Many thanks to “Big Country” and to Yulia, the local coordinator in Arkhangelsk, for the excellent organization and the fascinating excursions. I was especially impressed by the beautiful northern landscapes, the variety of museums, and the warmth and hospitality of the local people. I enjoyed the trip so much that I wished I could have stayed longer.

Good afternoon! We were on the "Northern Lights Hunt" tour in Arkhangelsk from March 2 to 5. Overall, everything was very well organized, and we would especially like to thank our guide Marina for the informative excursions and her warm, caring attitude toward us throughout the trip. Unfortunately, because of the weather, we didn’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights, which was a bit disappointing. Still, thank you very much for the wonderful trip and the excellent organization.

I really enjoyed the trip—thanks to the tour managers! Everything was well-organized and clearly planned. I especially appreciated how quickly they responded to any questions I had and explained everything patiently. Even though I was traveling solo, all the excursions felt lively and engaging. It was a bit disappointing that the last tour was canceled, but I appreciated the advance notice, which gave me the chance to arrange a visit on my own. I’ll definitely recommend you!
