Baikal Ice Expedition

Today fully justifies the name of our tour: a real expedition awaits us!

After breakfast at our guest house, we set off to cross Lake Baikal on the ice all the way to Olkhon Island together with an experienced team of professionals.

We cross Lake Baikal in its widest part, passing over the deepest point of the lake, past the majestic hills of the Holy Nose Peninsula.

It's an unforgettable experience: when you step out onto the clear ice, there's no one around for miles except our company, and there are hundreds of meters of water under your feet!

We will take such breathtaking photos, and hundreds of likes will be provided.

Under the dazzling sun, surrounded by blue hummock crystals, on the ice of a black mirror, we will have a hot field lunch.

After reaching Olkhon Island, the largest and only inhabited island on Lake Baikal, we get acquainted with the island and its sacred cape Khoboy.

These are not only energetically strong places that the inhabitants of the island have revered for centuries, but also a concentration of the most beautiful hummocks and splashes (sokui).

We will learn the myths and legends of Olkhon, passed down by Buryats from generation to generation, admire its inaccessible cliffs, look into caves and arrange a photo shoot, skate on ice and marvel at the unusual shapes of giant icicles.

We will visit the sights of Olkhon to be guaranteed to fall in love with these Martian landscapes – harsh combinations of rocks, ice and larches.

But we will not reveal all the secrets, we only guarantee that you will have a lot of surprises and entertainment that you will remember for a long time.

We return back to the village of Ust-Barguzin, but first we stop at the camp on the shore of the bay, where we will relax against the sunset – a set of water treatments (hot bath, ice font, warm bath) and dinner of Baikal cuisine.

The days on Lake Baikal should be unforgettable: we will explore the coast on snowmobiles from early morning!

Full of energy and vigor from snowmobiling and, of course, after a hearty breakfast, we set off to meet new adventures!

The road to the picturesque Chivyrkuy Bay lies through the Trans-Baikal National Park, at the entrance to which we make our first stop.

Our guide at the tourist information center of the national park will tell you in detail about today's route and show it on the map, conduct an introductory tour.

And now we are in the protected areas!

We make a stop at the longest sandy beach of Lake Baikal – Soft Karga: from here you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Barguzin Bay and the peaks of the Svyatoy Nos Peninsula.

Our next stop will be a sacred place near the Burtuy River.

There are two wooden statues installed here, so each guest must ask permission from the spirits to visit this area and make an offering.

Are you ready to step on the ice? Then go ahead!

We leave for the thick Baikal ice and our expedition begins through the most beautiful caves and grottos located on the islands of the Chivyrkuy Bay with talking names.: A bird market, Naked and Shaggy.

Transparent ice, giant hummocks, bizarre icicles and statues are a real winter kingdom built by nature and grandfather Baikal.

Today we have a program of "hot treatments": baths with healing water, the temperature of which reaches + 45C.

Yes, right on the shore of Lake Baikal, you can lie in a hot tub in one swimsuit, and in front of you will have a magnificent view of the ice-bound lake.

Next, we make a stop in Monakhovo to climb the 336 steps of the observation deck!

From the observation deck, you can admire the Chivyrkuysky Bay and the Barguzinsky Ridge from a height.

Today we will visit Rinopoche Bagsha datsan.

Next, we will make a raid on souvenir and grocery stores to buy local treats and gifts as a souvenir.

After shopping, we will take everyone to the hotel.

In the evening, you will have free time to walk around the city.
