Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Group meeting. The Baikal Museum in the village of Listvyanka. Departure to the village of Slyudyanka

    Meeting at Irkutsk airport at 10 a.m. near the information desk.

    A trip to the Listvyanka Village Museum along the picturesque road that runs along the Angara River.

    The museum is unique, it will tell you about the uniqueness of the lake and why it is still so clean.

    On the ground floor you will visit the aquarium, where you will certainly want to see the Baikal Seal.

    Lunch in Listvyanka (at your own expense).

    We will visit the market, where people come all year round to buy fish.

    You can buy yourself something that you like, whether it's salted or smoked fish.

    We advise you to try cold and hot smoked omul.

    Transfer to the village of Slyudyanka on the road among the mountains and exit to the observation point.

    It offers a panoramic view of the Southern part of Lake Baikal.

    Supper.

    Overnight at the recreation center, 4-5-bed rooms with outdoor amenities.

    Note: in case of delay for any reason, tourists catch up with the group on their own.

On an easy hike, you will walk an average of about 25 km with a backpack (you will need to carry your belongings, groceries and group equipment), the rest of the distance in a car and light.

The tour provides accommodation at camp sites in the village. Slyudyanka and Olkhon Island in Economy rooms for 3-5 people (on-site amenities), as well as overnight stays in tourist tents for 3-4 people:

  • in the village. Slyudyanka (2 nights: 1st, 4th days)  recreation centers "Silver Spring", "Edelweiss", "Gennady's Place", "Zhigalov's Shelter" or recreation centers of the same category;
  • at the Khamar-Daban weather station (2 nights: 2nd, 3rd days) – tourist tents;
  • on Olkhon Island (3 nights: 5th, 6th, 7th days)  recreation centers like Olkhon, Like Houses, Coast of Hope or recreation centers of the same category.

Double and single accommodation in tents and camp sites is not included in the price of the tour and is paid additionally when booking the tour.

  • The surcharge for double occupancy is 2,500 rubles.

Recreation center "Silver spring"

It is located in the town of Slyudyanka, on the southern shore of Lake Baikal. There is a wonderful forest nearby, the railway station is 4 km away, the bus station is 3.5 km away. There is a parking lot, a Playground, a wood-burning sauna, a solarium, a barbecue, a smokehouse.

Detached houses with a capacity from 2 to 6 people and the main building with apartment-type rooms of the "Junior Suite" and "Suite" classes are offered for accommodation. Economy class cabins operate in the summer. The total capacity is up to 80 people.

The interior of the houses is made in a rustic style, with a predominance of natural wood in the interior, each has a small equipped kitchen area.

In each room: beds, wardrobe, bedside tables, table and chairs, bedding and towels. In semi-comfortable summer houses: washbasin, cold water, toilet and shower on site. In well-maintained houses: washbasin, shower, toilet. In a two-storey 8-bed cottage: bedrooms for 8 beds, equipped kitchen, satellite TV, washbasin, shower, toilet.

In the dining room on the territory of the base, a professional chef of the author's cuisine offers, if desired, not only traditional dishes, but also children's and diet menus).

Recreation center "Edelweiss"

It is located on the outskirts of Slyudyanka, near the trail to Chersky Peak, so it is convenient for tourists who want to relax and gain strength before hiking. The base has everything you need for recreation: warm rooms for overnight stays, places for tents, a sauna, picnic areas.

2, 3 and 5-bed uncomfortable rooms are offered for accommodation. In the rooms: single beds, table, benches, TV, bed linen for each guest. A rural toilet and a washbasin are located on siteThere is no shower – a bathhouse.

To prepare meals on their own, guests can use the rental of barbecue equipment and a shared summer kitchen. There is a barbecue, firewood. The kitchen has a microwave oven, refrigerator, stove, dishes.

Mini-hotel "Zhigalov's Shelter"

It is located in the town of Slyudyanka at the Zhigalov Private Mineralogical Museum. It offers houses of various price categories: a room for 2 people, a room for 5 people, a house for 5 people, two rooms for 14 people (wooden bunks), an attic for 20 people. The toilets are outside.

There is an equipped kitchen-dining room for self-catering. Products can be purchased from local residents (across the street). There is a sauna.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • a backpack for women with a volume of at least 70-80 liters, for men 80-90 liters.;
  • polyurethane mat;
  • a plastic bag or a hermetic bag (inserted inside the backpack to protect against moisture);
  • headlamp;
  • sunglasses;
  • sleeping bag — temperature regime depending on the time of year and place of travel ;
  • spoon, mug, knife;
  • rain cover — only for routes where the temperature stays above zero;
  • matches sealed in polyethylene or plastic packaging or a lighter.
  • individual first aid kit (with the necessary set of personal and specific medicines no more than 200 g by weight);
  • photo camera;
  • thermos or plastic bottle;
  • protective equipment against blood-sucking insect bites on routes (mainly on routes where the temperature does not drop below zero);
  • sunburn products (required in the mountains and traveling by water)

Clothes, shoes, etc.:

  • underwear — at least 2-3 sets ;
  • thermal underwear (set, depending on the time of year. Jacket + tights) — 1-2 pcs .;
  • trousers are light, sporty, for daily wear, depending on the time of the year ;
  • jacket, fleece, etc. 1-2 pcs. (preferably made of modern materials);
  • storm suit – jacket + trousers. Availability is mandatory (In summer — protection from wind and rain. The jacket is better insulated with a hood (according to the time of the year. As a rule, it must be available in the mountains and on Lake Baikal. Trousers – protection from wind and moisture. In the cold season, you can use a ski suit or the like, depending on the climatic conditions;
  • plain socks (or trekking socks) — 2-4 pairs;
  • wool socks (trekking, insulated) — at least 2 pairs;
  • shoes 2 pairs — trekking boots and sneakers with thick soles or sneakers + rubber boots with a liner and a warm insole;
  • for rafting on mountain rivers, it is desirable to wear neoprene (you can rent it, request in advance);
  • for climbing – mountain climbing boots + trekking boots;
  • light sneakers on request (for crossings, recreation centers, on trains, etc.);
  • trekking poles are recommended only for hiking routes, combined at the discretion of the participants;

Note: During the day in the mountains, the sun is active and snowmelt is possible, so shoes should have good water-repellent properties (rubber boots (in addition to boots)).

  • warm sports hat — 2 pcs. (in summer, a cap with a visor + a cap);
  • personal hygiene products (toothbrush and paste, toilet paper, etc.);
  • gloves in summer are a simple 2 pairs.

Important! It is mandatory to have the following documents on the entire route – a passport, a compulsory medical insurance policy, a birth certificate for the child, a certificate from a therapist if there are chronic diseases (the tourist assumes responsibility for his health on the tour).

The requirement for a set of "personal belongings" is nothing superfluous and heavy, since besides them you will have to carry food (about 600—800g. per day per person) for the entire route and group equipment (tents, axes, boilers, etc.).
