Cosmic heat on Lake Baikal

We invite you to take part in an exclusive program where you are a guest of a luxurious restaurant among the ice. This is a real alien station: the territory resembles drawings of an extraterrestrial race.

How about incredible views from a comfortable tent under the aromas of fresh coffee? Would you go on an expedition through the ice caves at sunset, at the moment of the most beautiful light? Would you explore the cave paintings away from the crowds of tourists? We have made the fairy tale accessible to everyone!

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Irkutsk – Golden Horde – Small Sea

    We begin our acquaintance with the unexplored world of Lake Baikal from the Western coast of the Small Sea.

    It is here that the stories of ancient nomads and Buryat peoples intertwine, creating the most interesting ethnic manifestations.

    Unravel the secrets of the past in the format of the show!

    In the ethnopark “Golden Horde” you will find national dances, folklore program: hunting ritual, round dance.

    You will visit yurts and learn about the fate of the Baikal peoples.

    Lunch is compatible with tasting the colorful dishes of the local cuisine.

    Back in the last centuries, fragrant meat bouzas, rich lamb soups and tinctures with milk were prepared here (the menu is approximate, varies depending on the date of travel and the choice of program).

    Such a menu warmed the residents when there were no comfortable hotels where you would have to check in.

    As soon as you are settled, we invite you to the ice!

    There is a whole evening ahead to meet the bright sunset, enjoy the large-scale views and feel that you are on Lake Baikal!

    A hovercraft – Khivus-10 - will meet you on the shore.

    We will ride with the breeze along the islands, see the legendary caves and grottoes, enjoy the sunset rays in the reflection.

    We will return to the hotel filled with impressions.

    But the adventures are just beginning!

    Meals: lunch in the ethno park, dinner.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • shoes: warm, waterproof (boots or felt boots, or modern analogues with good synthetic insulation, a sole with a shallow tread and made of "soft" rubber (in order not to slip), with the presence of membranes, wear-resistant, high-quality sports firms Salomon, Dolomite);
  • jacket: comfortable, warm, should "breathe" and be light. The ideal option is a powder puff. You can also consider jackets with synthetic fillers (Thinsulate, Primaloft). The jacket should have a hood, preferably with cuffs made of soft fabric, puffs on the waist and neck (from the wind). We recommend you to look at jackets of such brands as Bask, Red Fox, Phenix, Marmot, Arcteryx;
  • trousers (men's and women's) must have the same qualities as a jacket. Plus, they should not be blown through, they should have special "gaiters" (protection from snow). Overalls are quite comfortable. A nice little thing is the presence of ventilation. It is better to choose synthetic insulation for trousers. The manufacturing companies are the same as for jackets. Ski suits are also well suited for spring tours;
  • thermal underwear: we recommend you to take winter thermal underwear made of fleece or Polartec. Check out the thermal underwear of the companies Norveg, Red Fox, Virus, Bask, Brubeck;
  • hat: it is better to take synthetic ones with windproof membranes (Windstopper, Windbloc). It is desirable that there be ear protection;
  • gloves and mittens: you need to take 3 sets, because they can tear, get wet, etc. Preferably made of synthetic fabrics. A good option is thin gloves made of fleece or Polartec (in order to take pictures) and leggings made of waterproof materials (leggings are large mittens made of dense nylon). You can also take woolen mittens in stock;
  • sunscreen (protection factor of at least 20). The sun is very bright on Lake Baikal in spring!
  • sunglasses (with at least 2 UV protection);
  • headlamp (and spare batteries);
  • trekking winter socks, as well as wool socks;
  • bathing accessories (if you are going to the sauna or hot springs);
  • a personal first aid kit (if you have any specific diseases);
  • photo and video equipment;
  • documents.
