Lake Baikal is spiritual: Olkhon and Buryatia

Russian Russian cuisine prevails, but there will be an opportunity to get acquainted with Buryat cuisine (buuz, khushuuri, urme), Baikal dishes (fish soup, fish baked in various variations), as well as with "Semey cuisine" ("hospitable Russian").

We take into account nutrition for vegetarians, for people who do not consume milk and have food allergies. 

Approximate menu for vegetarians: cabbage salad / vitamin / summer, lean borscht /vegetable soup, vegetable stew. 

We definitely take into account the nutritional characteristics of all guests and adjust the menu for vegetarians, for pescetarians, as well as for people who do not consume milk and have food allergies. 

IT is IMPORTANT (!) to notify us in advance about the peculiarities of nutrition (at least 2 weeks before the start of the tour).

Of the mandatory expenses not included in the tour – 6 dinners and 1 lunch on a free day. The average check is 900- 1600 rubles per complex. The amount for souvenirs is at your discretion. There are ATMs in Listvyanka, not in Olkhon, but almost everywhere you can pay with a card or transfer through a mobile bank.

The largest mileage per day is a water crossing to the east side with a call at the Ushkany Islands. In total, on this day you will travel 340 km by boat, but with a stop and a walk on Bolshoy Ushkany Island. The trip to the Ushkany Islands will take 3.5 hours, from Ushkany to the eastern shore – 2 hours. The longest transfer will be waiting for you on the first day to Olkhon (290 km.), but it will also take place with stops at observation points, viewpoints and at the ethno-center for lunch and a program.

It all depends on physical fitness. It is necessary to take into account the saturation and pace of the program - long trips, water crossings and sightseeing trips on the ground. If this is an active traveling pensioner, then the tour is suitable. If there are health problems, you should correlate the physical activity on the tour with your abilities.

A meeting with a shaman is possible. There are 2 types of shamans – showmen and true ones. Meeting with a representative of the first group – from 16,000 rubles per group. The meeting with the representative of the second group is formally free, each participant leaves the shaman as much money as he sees fit. It is necessary to pre–purchase attributes for a meeting with a shaman - vodka, milk and firewood. The format of both group communication and individual conversation with the rite is possible. The meeting with the Shaman is negotiated before the tour or during the tour, the meeting place may change depending on the current location of the shaman.

The tour ends in Ulan-Ude – you should plan a flight from Baikal airport. There are no activities on the last day, you can take tickets at any time, we will take you to your flight. 

The only thing that needs to be taken into account is the check–out time at 12:00.

The calendar month from mid–July to mid-August is the most favorable time to relax on Lake Baikal. The approximate air temperature in July-August during the day is +20-27 C, the approximate temperature at night is +14-18 C. Winds are not uncommon.

The water temperature in summer in open Lake Baikal reaches +5-10 C, in bays +15-18 C. As a rule, guests bathe with great pleasure.

The gathering of the group takes place at the airport.

The recommended arrival time is until 09:30 local time. 

For flights from Moscow, there are evening departures the day before. 

The standard start time from the airport is 10:00 ± 15 minutes. 

If the whole group arrives earlier, departure is made earlier. 

If the guest arrived a day or two before the start of the tour, then we will pick him up from the hotel (transfer from the airport and accommodation on this day/days is not included). 

You can book a hotel yourself and use the services of Yandex.taxi, or we will be happy to help you with booking your chosen hotel and arrange a transfer from the airport.

Children under 12 years old receive a 10% discount from the price when staying in an extra bed in a room with adults.

Throughout the entire route, you will have the opportunity to charge phones and other devices at hotels and camp sites.

We also recommend taking portable power bank chargers.

All federal mobile operators work on Lake Baikal (MTS, Megafon, Beeline, Tele 2, Iota), they have a slightly different coverage area, but in general you will be in stable communication most of the time (especially outside of excursions). MTS and Tele 2 catch the best. Beeline has the biggest problems with the coverage area. Wi-Fi and 3g/4G will be available in Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude. In Olkhon and Gremyachinsk, the mobile Internet does not have high speed and is not always stable.
