Itinerary

Day 1 - Irkutsk – Listvyanka – Sakhyurt
Meeting of the group at 8:30 at the railway station in Irkutsk, at 9:00 at the airport.
After meeting all the members of the group and placing ourselves in a minibus, we will go to the shores of Lake Baikal.
On the way, we will make a small loop to enter Listvyanka.
This is a famous tourist village where we will have the opportunity to visit the Baikal Museum.
Here we will learn about the origin of the lake, its climate, flora and fauna, see real seals in huge aquariums and even, if desired, take a virtual dive to the bottom of Lake Baikal.
After visiting the museum, we will climb the Chersky stone, which offers a panorama of Lake Baikal and the mouth of the Angara River, the only river flowing out of the lake.
Next, we will move to the village of Sakhyurt.
After accommodation at the recreation center, we will arrange an acquaintance and share our expectations from this trip.

Day 2 - Sakhyurt – Cape Krest – Sakhyurt
Today we will take a walk to Cape Krest, from where a magnificent panorama of the great ice kingdom of Lake Baikal opens.
We will also climb to the neighboring hill with a view of the Olkhon Gate, Cape Kobylya Golova and the Strait of the Small Sea.
This is the first and exciting access to the Baikal ice, so we will study the numerous patterns, be surprised by its structure and enjoy this beauty.
And in the evening we will make preparations for the celebration of the New Year 2025, set the table and celebrate our New Year's acquaintance!
Walking distance: 12 km. Accommodation: campsite. Meals: breakfast, snack lunch, festive dinner.
Day 3 - Sahyurta – Khuzhir – Cape Burkhan – Khuzhir
Today we will leave Sakhyurt and go to Olkhon Island, we will be ferried by khivus (hovercraft) and transferred by bus or cross-country car.
The scenic road runs along the Small Sea Bay, where there are many different islands of bizarre shapes, including Ogoy and Zamogoy.
On Olkhon, we will settle down at one of the cozy bases of the village of Khuzhir.
After lunch, we will visit Cape Burkhan, where the famous Shamanka Rock is located.
Shaman Rock, one of the nine shrines of Asia, has become a kind of calling card of the lake, one of the most recognizable images of Lake Baikal.
It will be possible to rent skates in Khuzhir, so today everyone will have the opportunity to ride on the shiny ice of the lake.
Let's take amazing photos of coastal rocks and ice formations in the light of the setting sun.

Day 4 - Khuzhir – Cape Khoboy – Khuzhir
Today we will take an excursion to Cape Khoboy, because of the quality of the road we will go by UAZ, which in itself is still an adventure!
The geographical feature of Cape Khoboy is that it is located in the widest part of Lake Baikal, where the distance from shore to shore is almost 80 kilometers.
The cape itself is a flat stone slab, resembling the shape of a beast's fang.
“Khoboy” in Buryat means a canine tooth, a molar.
Cape Khoboy is an extremely picturesque place on the island of Olkhon.
One of its main features is the traces of erosion.
The fierce Baikal wind, the scorching sun, as well as storm waves of considerable height cut many through holes in the stone.
You will find one of them in the Deva Rock.
It is so big that an adult can stand up in it at full height.
From the top of Cape Khoboy, there are incredibly beautiful views of the Baikal ridge, its natural continuation rising from the water – Ushkany Islands, Cape Ryty and Barguzin Bay.

Day 5 - Hoosier
Leaving our base at dawn, we will visit the neighboring hill, where a gazebo is installed and from where beautiful panoramas of the village of Khuzhir and the strait of the Small Sea open.
And during the day, you can rent a bicycle on studded wheels and take a bike ride along the shores of the Small Sea right on the ice, go ice skating, go to the museum, walk through souvenir shops (not included in the price).
This is our last day on Lake Baikal, so in the evening we will definitely gather at a large table to share our impressions of the trip.

Day 6 - Khuzhir – Irkutsk
After breakfast, we will pack our things and set off on our way back to the city of Irkutsk.
We are waiting for a long road, which will be brightened up by communication with the tour participants, who have already become very close.
We recommend taking return tickets at 18:00 and later.
Off-road vehicles: 35 km + crossing on Khivuses. Bus: 250 km. Meals: breakfast.

The tour provides accommodation at tourist bases in the village. Sahyurt and the village Hoosier.

In Sakhyurt there is a base “Belaya Usadba”, guest houses with 2, 3, 4-bed accommodation, shower and toilet in the house. Breakfasts, lunch snacks, dinners at the base are included in the price.
