Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Listvyanka. Baikal Museum

    Meeting at 10 o'clock at the airport near the information desk, boarding and transfer to Listvyanka village. 

    Drive along the famous Baikal highway and get acquainted with Listvyanka. 

    Visit and excursion to the Baikal Museum. 

    You can visit the seal show at will (pay yourself). 

    Baikal Limnological Museum – it houses the nerpinarium, contains the most complete information about the nature of Lake Baikal. 

    11 large aquariums with a unique water supply and water exchange system that draws water from a depth of 400 m. 

    Two separate combined aquariums contain seals.

    The exposition "Diving to the bottom of Lake Baikal" is open. 

    After the museum, we will visit the local market, where you can taste local delicacies (smoked and dried fish).

    We are located here in Listvyanka.

    In the evening, there is an opportunity to take a longer walk along the Baikal embankment. 

    Snowmobiling or dog sledding (booked in advance, with prepayment) is possible upon prior request at the office.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Clothes: the main rule is to dress in layers, like a pie. This will delay the release of heat and prevent the cold from reaching your body.

  • a windproof hat, a hat with earflaps, or a combination of a hat + a hood of a jacket;
  • buff or scarf (to protect the neck);
  • a warm down jacket that protects the lower back and will not be blown in the wind;
  • fleece jumper;
  • thermal underwear designed for low activity in -25;
  • warm ski / down trousers or overalls;
  • wool socks + cotton (the principle of layers also works here);
  • windproof gloves + mittens.

Footwear:

  • Boots with natural or artificial insulation, designed for -25 and below.
  • You can use: felt boots, boots, camuses, ugg boots, moonwalkers, dutiki

Additionally:

  • chemical warmers / insoles for feet and hands;
  • ice slides / ice shoes for smooth movement on slippery ice and hummocks;
  • sunglasses;
  • sunscreen with a high degree of protection;
  • lipstick is hygienic;
  • Powerbank (for a phone that is quickly discharged in the cold);

Recommended:

  • thermos (for hot herbal tea with honey and lemon, to maintain immunity and warmth);
  • shoe dryers;
  • lantern;
  • knee pads (for those who like to photograph reflections, ice floes and cracks).

Important! It is mandatory to have the following documents on the entire route – a passport, a compulsory medical insurance policy, and a birth certificate for the child.
