We are glad to welcome you to Irkutsk, the capital of Eastern Siberia!
The meeting takes place in 2 stages: the sign "Awakening of Lake Baikal":

After the meeting, we will go to a cafe for breakfast, after which our way will lie to the "gates of Baikal" – Listvyanka.
Just 65 km from Irkutsk, on the shore of the sacred Lake Baikal, the village of Listvyanka stretches along a five-kilometer strip.

The Taltsy Architectural and Ethnographic Museum is a unique collection of historical, architectural and ethnographic monuments of the XVII-XIX centuries. The museum is located on the picturesque bank of the Angara River in the Taltsinsky tract, on the 47th kilometer of the Baikal tract. Four historical and cultural zones of the Baikal region are retrospectively recreated here: Russian, Buryat, Evenk and Tofalar.
The source of the Angara and the observation deck at the Shaman stone. The source of the Angara River is the widest and largest in the world (863 m). In winter, up to 15 thousand waterfowl live in the polynya with a length of 5 to 15 km. This is the only ice-free winter camp in the whole of northern Asia.
There is also an observation deck with a view of the source of the Angara River and the legendary Shaman Stone.
There are many beautiful legends and legends associated with this place, and the stone itself is considered one of the symbols of Lake Baikal.
Arriving in Listvyanka, we will go to the local market, where we will buy the freshest fish for our Baikal tasting.

Day 2 - The small sea. Quad bike ride. Free time
After breakfast in the hotel restaurant, departure to the Small Sea (250 km, 4 hours).
Along the way, you will see a variety of landscapes of the Baikal region: the picturesque spurs of the Baikal ridge covered with taiga, the Tazheran steppe, the mountainous shores of the Small Sea and the Olkhon Islands.
Along the way, there is a short stop at the sacred Buryat place, acquaintance with the traditions of the indigenous population of the Baikal region.

Day 3 - Tazheran steppes
One of the most vivid impressions of our tour promises to be today's whole–day trip "Along the Tagerans to the Anga - for the outgoing ice."
The Tazheran steppe is amazing and vast, stretching from the Olkhon Gate to the purest waters of the Anga mountain river.
In this tour, we visit places that will introduce our guests more closely to the nature of Lake Baikal and the culture of the people living here.
From the Salt lakes to the most beautiful views of Aya Bay.
The tourists will see Panoramas of the mouth of the Anga River, a tunnel made of white marble, we visit petroglyphs (rock carvings) whose age dates from 4-2 millennia.
The road runs along picturesque places fed by a mountain river.
To get to know Buryat culture better, we spend lunch time in a traditional cafe, where you can try hand-made bouzas, traditional Buryat shulen soup, and homemade firewood.

Day 4 - Olkhon Island

Olkhon Island (a whole-day tour of the island).
Route: camp site – ferry crossing through the Olkhonsky Gate Strait – Zagli – Kobylya golova – Cape Burkhan – Sarai beach – Sandy tract – Sagan-Khushun – Khoboy – camp site.
Depending on the ice conditions, the crossing to the island can be carried out by ferry or on Khivus.
In the myths and legends of the Buryats, Olkhon is called the abode of the terrible spirits of Lake Baikal.
We start our journey from the campsite, moving to the ferry crossing on Olkhon Island.
Further, as we move towards the center of the island, we will see:
Zagli Bay (Tashkai Bay) is the sunniest place in the Irkutsk region. The number of sunny days is 3 times higher than in Irkutsk, and amounts to 2,200 hours per year (on the Riga coast – 1,830 hours per year). Precipitation is the same as in the dry steppes of Kazakhstan.
Cape Khorgoy – here is the highest point on the Khadai Mountain, which offers a wonderful panorama of the southern part of the island. And on the pass there is an obo in honor of Yezhin, the spirit of the pass. It is necessary to stop here and throw a coin.
And finally, we have a wonderful view of the "calling card of Lake Baikal", one of the nine Shrines of Asia - Cape Burkhan or Shamanka Rock.
North of Cape Burkhan there is a magnificent sandy beach of the Sarai Bay, which stretches for 3 km between Cape Burkhan and the village. The Harans.

This place stands out among the monotonous coast with spectacular pyramid-shaped rocks, known to the local population as the "Three Brothers", the legend of which you will learn during the tour.
Khoboy is a sacred place, a place of strength and powerful energy, the northernmost cape on the island of Olkhon.
Cape Khoboy is located near the widest point of Lake Baikal (79.5 km), and only in good weather from it you can see the opposite shore, the mountainous contour of the Holy Nose Peninsula.
There is a site on the cape where the pan-Mongolian shamanic tailagans are performed.
After a walking tour to Cape Hoboy, we will have a picnic lunch.

Day 5 - Irkutsk

Upon arrival in Irkutsk, lunch with dishes of traditional Buryat cuisine.
