The island is known for its Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment.
It contains various Buddhist relics and a bronze statuette of the Dakini Troma Nagmo, who is considered the mother of all Buddhas in Tibetan Buddhism.
For the first time, such a stupa of Enlightenment was erected in India at the place where the Buddha attained Enlightenment.
In modern interpretation, the stupa symbolizes the goal of the Buddhist path – the recognition of one's own mind, complete Enlightenment.
According to legend, if you walk around the stupa three times and make a wish, it will definitely come true.
