Itinerary

Day 1 - Irkutsk – Olkhon Island, the first acquaintance with Lake Baikal
Welcome to Siberia!
Today we start our tour on the Baikal ice!
Waiting for you:
the first meeting and acquaintance with the Baikal ice;
ethnocultural program and acquaintance with Buryat culture and traditions at the Golden Horde complex;
tasting of national dishes of Buryat cuisine;
the road to Lake Baikal, which will run along the snowy Tajeran steppes;
the mysterious island of Olkhon;
welcome dinner and acquaintance with all the participants of the tour.
9:30 Meeting with the tour participants at Irkutsk airport, transfer to Olkhon.
Folklore program and lunch from 11:00 to 12:30.
At about 17 p.m. arrival on Olkhon Island, accommodation at the hotel, dinner, rest.
Meals included: lunch and dinner.

Day 2 - Caves and grottoes of Olkhon Island
Let's start exploring the mysterious island of Olkhon!
Today's program includes:
acquaintance with the famous Shamanka rock, which is considered one of the places of power on Lake Baikal;
fabulous ice caves and grottos of Olkhon;
bizarre ice splashes on the rocks;
sokui Cape Sagan-Khushun;
lunch-picnic in the fresh air, tasting stroganina from Baikal fish and Siberian raznosol;
huge blue hummocks on Cape Khoboy.
And today we will skate on the icy expanses of the lake and take cool photos!
The ice tour starts at 9:30-10:00, the tour ends and the return to the hotel at 16-17 hours.
Meals included: breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner.

Day 3 - Small Sea, Ogoy Island, buggy riding
Today we have another eventful and interesting day ahead of us!
traveling on the Khivus through the secluded corners of the Small Sea (Khivus is a special hovercraft);
Different types and shapes of ice, get ready to take a lot of photos!
amazing caves and grottoes covered with ice lace;
lunch at the Boro-Boro Arctic station, tasting of Siberian cuisine and original tinctures;
Have fun riding a buggy.
Our day begins with an exciting ride on the “Khivus” on the ice of Lake Baikal (starting at 9-10 o'clock, depending on the temperature).
After the tour, we will stop at the Arctic station to have a delicious lunch and relax.
After lunch, we leave for the southern part of the Small Sea for buggy riding.
In the evening we will meet the sunset on the ice of Lake Baikal and return to the hotel.
Dinner, rest.

Day 4 - Olkhon Island – Ogoy Island – Aya Bay – Buguldeika village – Sandy Bay – Listvyanka village
Today we are going to a real ice crossing!
We will cross the Maloe Sea and Bolshoy Baikal in a safe Khivus, driving from Olkhon to Listvyanka.
Waiting for us:
popular ice locations: Ogoy Island, Cape Kobylya Golova, Aya Bay, Buguldeika, Skriper Cliff;
kilometers of pure Baikal ice;
famous Baikal bubbles;
Sandy Bay and its bizarre stilted trees;
lots of new impressions and the most sincere emotions!
At 9 a.m. boarding the Hivus and the start of the ice crossing.
Let's start with a visit to Ogoy Island, climb to the Buddhist stupa, take a photo on the Dragon's Fang.
Next, we will stop at Cape Mare's Head to watch the bizarre ice splashes.
We say goodbye to Olkhon and drive to Big Baikal, our next stop is Aya Bay.
Lunch-picnic in Sandy Bay.
In the evening, arrival in Listvyanka village, accommodation at the hotel, dinner.
Meals included: breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner.

Day 5 - Listvyanka, Taltsy Museum, Chersky stone
Today we are waiting for:
walk through the Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture;
cable car ride to the Chersky Stone, which offers a beautiful panorama of the source of the Angara, snow-capped mountain ranges and Lake Baikal.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to the Taltsy Museum to walk among the snow-covered forest and get acquainted with the exposition.
Lunch is at 13-14 hours.
After lunch, climb to the observation deck on the Chersky Stone, where you can admire the source of the Angara River, which never freezes.
After the end of the excursion program in Listvyanka, transfer to Irkutsk, accommodation at the hotel.
In the evening we will gather for a final dinner, we will share our impressions and photos.

Observe the rules of hotel accommodation (at the recreation center), do not break the silence after 23.00 h.
Promptly inform the head of the trip or his deputy about the deterioration of health or injury
Follow the safety rules on ice, avoid hypothermia - keep in mind the low air temperature during this period.

The “Baikal Ice” tour left us with truly wonderful memories. Even though we are Siberians ourselves, this trip allowed us to see winter Baikal in a completely new light. The landscapes were unlike anything we had experienced before :) stunning, unique, and absolutely breathtaking. A special thank-you goes to our guide, Leonid, who introduced us to the beauty of Lake Baikal and showed us some of the most spectacular and fascinating places both on the lake and along its shores. He adapted the program skillfully to the weather conditions and other logistical factors, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and at the highest level.
