Itinerary

  • Day 1 - The mysterious Olkhon

    The meeting is from 9:00 to 10:00.

    Today you will meet with one of the most experienced guides on Lake Baikal, take a comfortable car to the legendary and mysterious island of Olkhon! 

    During the trip, you will learn a lot about the life and traditions of the Buryats, visit sacred Buryat places, have lunch in a yurt cafe, where you can get acquainted with the national Buryat cuisine.

    You will have a ferry crossing through the Olkhonsky Gate Strait and a small transfer to the camp site. 

    After accommodation in cozy rooms, you will go to the famous rock with the mysterious name "Shamanka" (Cape Burkhan), learn about shamanism on Lake Baikal, perform a thanksgiving ceremony to appease the spirits of the island. 

    Shamans all over the world consider this revenge sacred. 

    In the evening you can visit the "Buryat village" (for an additional fee). 

    An excursion that will immerse you in the customs and traditions of the local population. 

    In the "Buryat village" you will be greeted as dear guests according to all the rules, you will be told the peculiarities of the life and culture of the Buryats, the legends of the local places, of course, you will be invited to the table and treated (tasting) with products of your own production and national alcoholic beverage (tarasun).

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  1. Hermetic bag – used instead of a backpack;
  2. Sleeping bag (2-layer, synthetic filler). Comfort temperature +5;

  5. A mug, a bowl, a spoon, a knife (a slinger) – everyone must!
  6. Individual first aid kit: medicines for you personally, Band-Aid, elastic bandage, insect repellent, sunscreen;
  7. Documents: passport, MHI insurance policy – packed in an airtight package;
  8. Flashlight (with a spare set of batteries);
  9. Photo camera;
  10. Toiletries (soap, towel, toothbrush, etc.);
  11. Alloy shoes: sneakers, sandals or sneakers – they will be wet!
