Itinerary

Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of Irkutsk. The road to Listvyanka, meeting with Lake Baikal
Welcome to Siberia!
We meet at Irkutsk airport and get acquainted with the group.
Today we have a tour of the main sights of Irkutsk in our program.
We will walk through the snow-covered streets of the city, look at the majestic Hangar, visit the 130 block and have a delicious lunch at one of the restaurants in the city.
After lunch, we will be transferred to the village of Listvyanka (70 km from Irkutsk), check-in at the hotel.
We rest a little and go for a walk.
Today you will step on the Baikal ice for the first time and feel the real icy expanses of Lake Baikal!
After a walk, we return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 2 - Excursions to the Taltsy Museum and the Chersky Stone. Dog sledding
We have breakfast at the hotel and go on an excursion, today we have a busy day ahead of us!
First, we will visit the museum of wooden architecture “Taltsy”, where you can ride down an icy mountain, see ancient wooden buildings and warm up with a hot drink.
After taking a walk in the fresh air, we'll stop by for lunch.
After lunch, we will meet Siberian huskies.
You can feel like a real kayak driving a dog sled and ride with the breeze!
The observation deck on the Chersky Stone is our next location.
We will climb up here on a chairlift and admire the views of Lake Baikal and Angara, which open from a height.
Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 3 - Excursion to Cape Burhan
Today, from Listvyanka, we will go to the very center of Lake Baikal – to the island of Olkhon.
We will drive along a beautiful road, first through a mountain pass, and then through the snow-covered Tagheran steppes down to the ice crossing to Olkhon Island.
We arrive on the island, in the village of Khuzhir, check into the hotel.
Our acquaintance with the island begins with the famous Shamanka Rock.
This is a sacred place, shrouded in ancient beliefs and legends, and of course, one of the main symbols of the whole Baikal.
We hope that you will also feel the special energy of this place!
Let's walk on the ice around the cliff and see the first ice caves.
After the walk, we return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4 - Excursion to the northernmost tip of the island – Cape Khoboy
We continue our journey and go to the north of Olkhon, to Cape Khoboy.
Today we will see the very blue ice of Lake Baikal!
The road will run through the ice with stops in the most interesting and beautiful places.
We will walk and take pictures in the area of Kharants Island, where caves and grottoes are decorated with beautiful icicles.
We will also take a look at Cape Sagan-Khushun (or Three Brothers), this beautiful rock complex is covered with bizarre statues in winter, which have a different shape every year.
After a good walk, we will have a hot lunch in the fresh air.
Our next stop is Cape Khoboy.
It is here that a large number of hummocks, ice blocks of beautiful blue color are formed every year.
We will walk, listen to the breath of Lake Baikal and enjoy the incredible icy expanses.

Day 5 - On the ice of Lake Baikal to the island of Ogoy. The Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment. Ice caves of Cape Khorgoy
Our 5th day on Lake Baikal, and even more ice and beautiful locations!
Today we will drive through the Small Sea, look at the island of Ogoy and look for beautiful ice bubbles.
Cape, or Dragon Rock, is one of the most popular and recognizable photo locations of winter Lake Baikal.
This picturesque rock has become one of the favorite places of photographers and travelers.
After taking a keepsake shot at this rock, we will also climb to the island itself, to the Buddhist stupa.
According to legend, you can make a wish here that will definitely come true.
After lunch, we will continue exploring the caves and grottoes of the Small Sea.
And we will also go to small bays, where you can traditionally see methane bubbles (sometimes these places are covered with snow and you need to scatter the ice).
In the evening, return to the village, dinner at the hotel.

Day 6 - Transfer to Irkutsk. Departure
Our journey is coming to an end.
We have breakfast and go to Irkutsk.
The journey time will take 5-6 hours, we will make a stop at a cafe on the way.
Arrival in Irkutsk approximately from 16 to 19 hours and the end of the program.

It is located on the island of Olkhon in the picturesque area of the village of Khuzhir, 150 m from Lake Baikal. Due to the excellent location of the hotel, the most important sights of the island – Shamanka Rock and Sarai beach, as well as all the necessary infrastructure: cafes, shops, souvenir shops, etc. are within walking distance for tourists.

The rooms are decorated in a rustic style and offer views of Lake Baikal, the beach and the coniferous forest. Everything was perfectly organized, and the itinerary was very well planned – from transfers and accommodations to the excursions themselves. I especially enjoyed the trip along the Circum-Baikal Railway, Listvyanka, and the enchanting Olkhon Island. Plus, we were lucky with the weather: we encountered heavy rain only when leaving Irkutsk; the rest of the time was dry and sunny. Our guide Alexander was wonderful and attentive. We learned so many new things and even took a swim in Lake Baikal!
