Itinerary

Day 1 - Visit to the Talca Museum. Dog sledding
Meeting and acquaintance with the group at Irkutsk airport (9:30 a.m. local time).
We are waiting for a transfer to the village of Listvyanka, located an hour's drive from the city.
Your first acquaintance with Lake Baikal and the Baikal ice will take place here.
On the way, we will visit the museum of wooden architecture "Taltsy" and walk through the snow-covered forest.
After lunch, a real Siberian fun awaits us in Listvyanka – dog sledding.
You will experience the pleasure of riding and chatting with charming huskies.
We end our day in Listvyanka by climbing the Chersky Stone, from where you can admire the panoramic view of Lake Baikal and the beautiful Angara.
In the evening, return to Irkutsk, check in at the hotel.

Day 2 - Transfer to Olkhon Island. Excursion to the Shamanka rock
Today we will go to Olkhon Island, in the very center of Lake Baikal.
On the way, we will pass through the Tazheran steppes and along the ice crossing over Lake Baikal.
Arrival on the island, check-in at the hotel.
After a short rest, we go for a walk to the Shamanka rock (Cape Burkhan).
The picturesque rock is one of the places of power on Lake Baikal with a very strong energy.
Weather permitting, we will meet our first sunset on Olkhon right on the ice.
After a walk, we return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3 - On the ice along the shore of Lake Baikal to Cape Khoboy. Ice Caves
After breakfast, we begin our acquaintance with the island.
We go to the northernmost tip of the island, Cape Hoboy – one of the most beautiful and interesting places on the island.
On the way, we will make a stop at the Sagan-Khushun rock complex and at Kharants Island to see beautiful ice caves and grottoes.
Our next stop is Cape Khoboy.
Every year, huge ice hummocks are formed here, which have a beautiful blue color.
We will walk, take pictures and have lunch outdoors.
After a busy day, we return to Khuzhir.

Day 4 - A trip on the ice of Lake Baikal. Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment
A new day and new experiences!
We continue to travel around the Small Sea and get acquainted with the Baikal ice.
First, we will go to the island of Ogoyu and take a photo at Cape Dragon, which has become a popular tourist destination.
Then we will go up to the island itself, to the Buddhist stupa of Enlightenment.
According to legend, you can walk around the stupa and make a wish.
After lunch, we will continue exploring the caves and grottoes of the Small Sea.
Every year they form truly unique ice landscapes.
And today we will look for methane bubbles frozen in ice and skate across the Baikal expanses.
In the evening, return to the hotel, dinner.

Day 5 - Transfer to Irkutsk. Departure
The final day on Lake Baikal!
After breakfast, we will be transferred to Irkutsk (travel time 5-6 hours).
The end of the program in Irkutsk (Kirov Square), farewell to the group.

It is located on the island of Olkhon in the picturesque area of the village of Khuzhir, 150 m from Lake Baikal. Due to the excellent location of the hotel, the most important sights of the island – Shamanka Rock and Sarai beach, as well as all the necessary infrastructure: cafes, shops, souvenir shops, etc. are within walking distance for tourists.

The rooms are decorated in a rustic style and offer views of Lake Baikal, the beach and the coniferous forest. Everything was perfectly organized, and the itinerary was very well planned – from transfers and accommodations to the excursions themselves. I especially enjoyed the trip along the Circum-Baikal Railway, Listvyanka, and the enchanting Olkhon Island. Plus, we were lucky with the weather: we encountered heavy rain only when leaving Irkutsk; the rest of the time was dry and sunny. Our guide Alexander was wonderful and attentive. We learned so many new things and even took a swim in Lake Baikal!
