Itinerary

Day 1 - Visit to the Talca Museum. Dog sledding
Meeting and acquaintance with the group at Irkutsk airport (9:30 a.m. local time).
We will meet in Irkutsk and go to Listvyanka.
On the way there is a walk through the wooden museum "Taltsy", fresh air.
After lunch— sledding with Siberian huskies, barking, laughing, wind in your face.
In the evening, we climb the Chersky Stone: Lake Baikal stretches below like an endless icy sea.
Return to Irkutsk in the evening.

Day 2 - Transfer to Olkhon Island. Excursion to the Shamanka rock
Today we are going to Olkhon.
The road runs through the Tajeran steppe — hills, snowy plains, sparse trees.
Then the ice on which we cross to the island.
We are settling into Khuzhir.
In the evening, a walk to the Shamanka rock, where the wind howls legends.
The quiet ice, the sunset and the feeling that you are in another world.

Day 3 - On the ice along the shore of Lake Baikal to Cape Khoboy. Ice Caves
In the morning we leave for the north of the island.
Along the way there are ice caves, grottos, Cape Three Brothers.
We get to Khoboy — northern cape, hummocks, turquoise ice.
Picnic on the ice.
And in the evening — riding on khivus.

It is located on the island of Olkhon in the picturesque area of the village of Khuzhir, 150 m from Lake Baikal. Due to the excellent location of the hotel, the most important sights of the island – Shamanka Rock and Sarai beach, as well as all the necessary infrastructure: cafes, shops, souvenir shops, etc. are within walking distance for tourists.

The rooms are decorated in a rustic style and offer views of Lake Baikal, the beach and the coniferous forest. Hello! My mom and I were on the tour from March 9 to 13, and overall we really enjoyed everything. We visited the Taltsy Museum, where the guide gave a wonderful and engaging introduction to the area and the history of local life. We even got to swing on a traditional wooden swing, just like in childhood. At the husky park, we petted the dogs and had a very emotional dog sled ride. The staff there spoke so warmly and sincerely about caring for the dogs. We saw the incredibly beautiful ice formations and caves, admired methane bubbles, went ice skating, and took lots of photos. We also rode on a Khivus hovercraft and watched a stunning sunset right on Lake Baikal. We even tasted the lake water. The tour was very interesting and full of unforgettable experiences. In the first few days, Baikal was sunny and relatively warm, while at Cape Khoboy it was windy and freezing, we truly experienced the full power of the lake. We also enjoyed incredibly delicious fish soup and freshly prepared fish surrounded by breathtaking nature. Overall, the program was excellent and very well organized. Many thanks to the driver-chefs, Pyotr and Yuri, for the safe journeys and great food. I’d also like to thank all the drivers along the route for their professionalism and safe driving. I’d especially like to mention our guide, Savely, a very friendly and easygoing young man. He struck a great balance during the tour, sharing interesting information while also giving us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. He even helped take photos of everyone and checked in daily to make sure we were all happy. He also adjusted the schedule based on the weather so that we were as comfortable as possible. Savely did his best to accommodate everyone’s wishes, for example, he made sure we had time to visit a souvenir shop. He coordinated all the stops with the drivers so we could fully enjoy the views. I highly recommend visiting Lake Baikal with Savely as your guide! Wishing you continued success and prosperity!
