Itinerary

Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of Ufa, transfer to the campsite, master class on cooking baursak
10:00 Group meeting in Ufa at the central entrance of the UFA Department Store (31 Oktyabrya Avenue).
Sightseeing tour of Ufa: from the wooden fortress of Emen-Kala to the modern millionth city.
These places are witnesses of the great past and the lives of prominent figures of bygone eras: the richest noble families, Fyodor Chaliapin, Rudolf Nureyev, Mustai Karim, Ismagilov Zagir, Sergey Timofeevich Aksakov, etc.
Guests of the city will learn a lot of interesting things from the history of Ufa.
Lunch.
Transfer to the western Foothills of the Southern Urals (Gafuriysky district, Imendyashevo village, 140 km).
On the way: the geographical center of Bashkiria, the birthplace of the Bashkir poet Mazhit Gafuri.
Arrival at the campsite. Accommodation in 2-bed rooms (standard room).
Acquaintance with Bashkir culture: a story about national Bashkir costumes, a photo shoot in national costumes.
A master class on cooking baursak, a traditional Bashkir dish.
Since ancient times, baursak was not just a pastry, it symbolized the sun and happiness. Therefore, it was prepared on special days, and only the most dear and kind guests were treated.
Dinner with elements of Bashkir cuisine.

Day 2 - Toratau Geopark, Krasnousolsky resort tour
Breakfast.
Car transfer to the Toratau Geopark visitor center (120 km).
Walk at the foot of Shihan (optional with an ascent).
Toratau Geopark is a member of the UNESCO Global Geopark network. The area of the geopark exceeds 4 thousand square kilometers, it unites unique natural objects, including shikhany Toratau and Yuraktau.
The Shihans are the remains of ancient coral reefs formed in the warm sea of the Devonian period. Until now, corals, sponges, echinoderms and algae, which are about 300 million years old, can be found in the fossil accumulations there.
Lunch.
Transfer to Krasnousolsk village (60 km).
Sightseeing tour in Krasnousolsky resort: Usolka geological section, Tabyn chapel, the place of the appearance of the holy icon of the Tabyn Mother of God; Holy springs (mineral and healing water).
Those who wish can swim in the fonts. The constant water temperature all year round is about 10 C.
Return to the campsite.

Day 3 - Guided tour "History of Kaga village and Ural ironworks", dumpling making
Breakfast.
Bus trip to the mountainous and forested areas of the Southern Urals to the ancient Russian village of Kaga (250 km).
Along the way, landscapes change from the Ural steppes to the majestic Ural Mountains. Part of the route passes through the territory of the South Ural State Nature Reserve.
In good weather, you can enjoy a view of the highest peak of the Southern Urals, Bolshoy Yaman-Tau.
Accommodation at the campsite.

The tour "The history of the village of Kaga and the Ural ironworks".
Kaga is one of the most distinctive villages in Bashkiria, located between two rivers — the wise White and playful Kaga.
The village was founded in the first half of the 18th century, in the southern part of the Ural Mountains, and over several centuries it has experienced a rich and interesting history: the construction of an ironworks of the Demidov dynasty and at the same time the rapid development of the village, the ordeal of fire and hunger after a fire, miraculous healing from typhus, etc.
We will tell you how the villagers managed to preserve their flavor, hear their dialect, learn about holidays and customs that are celebrated only here.
"Making Ural dumplings": the evening will be held in a friendly family atmosphere for leisurely conversations and making dumplings from high-quality village products.
"Over a cup of tea...": tasting Bashkir honey, herbal tea and balms of local production.

Day 4 - Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve
Breakfast.
Transfer to the Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve (100 km).
Visit to the museum and demonstration complex of the Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve.
The basis for the creation of the reserve was the habitation in this region of the core of a purebred aboriginal honeybee population — the Burzyansk honey bee ("burzyanki") in the conditions of bee farming — Bashkir folk art.
This reserve turned out to be the world's first zone protecting native wild bees.
An introduction to the natural and cultural heritage site included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List: a unique monument of the Paleolithic era — the Shulgan-Tash cave (Kapova Cave).
Thousands of years ago, primitive people lived in it and left their drawings of animals on the walls. Such ancient drawings, before their discovery in this cave, were known only in caves in Spain and France.
Regardless of the time of year, the cave maintains a constant temperature of +7 Celsius.
Lunch with elements of Bashkir cuisine.
Acquaintance with Bashkir customs. A master class on playing the kurai.
Return to the campsite (100 km).

Day 5 - Bashkir State Nature Reserve, departure
Breakfast. Room release.
Car transfer to the Bashkir State Nature Reserve (30 km), the very first nature reserve established in the Southern Urals.
The reserve lies in the part of the Urals where its main ranges, Kraka and Ural Tau, lose their meridional direction and break up into a network of very complexly constructed hills.
The acquaintance with the museum and excursion complex will begin with the history and nature features of the reserve and the Southern Urals.
You will learn interesting facts about marals at the enclosure, observe them, and take memorable photos.
Lunch.
Departure.
Group transfer to Ufa. Place of arrival: October Avenue, 31, Ufa Department Store. Estimated arrival by 21:00.

The tour was excellently organized. We traveled in a comfortable bus with a professional and friendly driver. The accommodation and meals were also very good. I would especially like to highlight our guide, Elena. Her deep knowledge, outstanding understanding of the region, engaging and expressive storytelling, subtle sense of humor, and excellent communication skills make her a top-class professional. She managed to bring together a group of very different people and became our leader and the heart of the group throughout all 10 days. There was, however, one thing that slightly detracted from the overall impression: the indifferent attitude and reluctance to address guests’ concerns on the part of the administration of the Chaika campsite at the Nugush Reservoir.
