Travel to several regions of southern Russia with an incredible variety of cultures, customs and traditions of local peoples.

We will visit the shores of the Caspian Sea, stroll through the streets of Russia's oldest city, Derbent (which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List), and admire the view of the Sulak River from the height of the famous Sulak Canyon.

We will also get acquainted with the majestic Elbrus in the Jily-Su tract, far from civilization, and the largest mosques in the world in Chechnya. Let's breathe in the purest mountain air and climb the cable car in Dombay. We will make a stop in the sunniest city of the Caucasian Mineral Waters — Kislovodsk and descend into the mysterious Azish cave in Adygea.

The tour is conducted in an individual format from 2-3 people or in organized groups. Leave a request to receive the tour program for your group.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Makhachkala, excursion to the museum of Kaytag embroidery

Arrival on morning flights to the airport or railway station in Makhachkala.

A group transfer to the ancient city of Derbent awaits you at 12:30.

Along the way, near the town of Izberbash, you will have a view of Mount Pushkin-Tau: you will notice the amazing similarity of the mountain with the profile of the great poet.

You will stop for lunch (not included in the price of the tour) to refresh yourself after the flight.

After a delicious and hearty lunch (there can be no other way in Dagestan - be prepared), you will drive to the village of Majalis, founded in 1581 by Sultan Ahmad Khan, ruler of the Kaytag region, as a new capital and his own residence.

Here, at the Kaitag Embroidery Museum, local women, employees of this museum, will introduce you to the real national treasure of the republic — an ancient, almost lost art.

Just imagine — 16 different seams are used in Kaitag embroidery!

The work of local craftsmen is so laborious that it takes from three months to six months to create one canvas.

You will arrive in Derbent in the evening.

Here you will take a short walk along the Caspian Sea embankment, after which you will stay in a 4* hotel and relax.

You can have dinner at one of the local cafes (on your own).

The price includes: airport-hotel transfer, lunch, tour guide, overnight at the hotel.

Overall, everything was fine. The only downside was that there was a bit too much repeated information in the chat, so it was sometimes hard to remember which file contained the information I needed. Otherwise, everything was great
