The Bezengi tour takes place in the Caucasus, on the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria. These places are called the "icy heart of the Caucasus", because it is here that the legendary Bezengi gorge is located.

Bright flowers and emerald glaciers are placed here in one frame. As an ornament, nature presented the Bezengi Gorge with delightful orange poppies. During the trip, we will visit several waterfalls, walk through an equipped ecotrope, take photos of glaciers and trek to the Northern and Bezengian walls.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Bezengi Gorge
11:30-12:00 Gathering of the group at the airport and at the railway station in Mineralnye Vody (near the main entrance to the station from the city).
Transfer by bus to the Bezengi alpine camp (about 4-5 hours).
The Bezengi Gorge.
In the evening we will arrive at one of the most amazing and organized alpine camps in the Caucasus – the Bezengi alpine camp.
On its territory there are residential buildings, parking areas with tents, a dining room, a shower room, a souvenir shop and even a kindergarten.
After settling in the alpine camp, we will take a sightseeing tour of its territory.
From afar, we will see the gorges with the Mizhirgi and Bezengi glaciers, and we will also be happy to consider the relief layout of the Bezengi area.
Relief, snowy mountains rise on the model, valleys with glaciers, lakes and our entire future route are perfectly visible.

Day 2 - Zhigindzhi Waterfall, an ecotrope to the Bezengi glacier
Today's tour program includes an easy walking route.
We can see the huge Kargashil ridge directly from the camp.
At the very top of the ridge is the Zhigindzhi glacier, which melts and gives rise to the river of the same name.
The river jumps rapidly along the ledges of the ridge and turns into a beautiful waterfall.
Today's waterfall has a secret, it harbors an unusual natural phenomenon.
In the morning, part of the water flow is "golden" from the illumination of the sun's rays.
After lunch, the second part of the cascade comes out of the shadows and glows "silver".
We go further and get on an ecotrope to the Bezengi glacier.
The comfortable eco-trail was equipped by Rushydro.
Colorful stands with photos and descriptions of the local flora and fauna are set up along the trail.
Walking along the ecotrope, we pick strawberries in July, and in August and September we feast on blueberries and lingonberries.
At the end of the journey we will come close to the Bezengi glacier.

Day 3 - Gidan Waterfall, trekking to the Mizhirgi glacier, North Wall
Today we will see the amazing North Wall.
The Northern massif is a huge mountain system: 15 kilometers of perfect snow and ice, 4 five thousand meters! Mizhirgi, Dykhtau, Pushkin Peak, Koshtantau – all these peaks have a mark above 5000 m.
The spectacular nature of this gorge consists in a stunning contrast: we walk through green grass, through flower meadows, and immediately snow-capped mountains rise in front of us.
At such a moment, you feel how grand Nature has created the mountains here!
We will also have lunch against the backdrop of five thousand people.
Then we will walk a little more and take beautiful photos of the Mizhirga glacier.
On the way back, we will pass by the sign of the gorge "Body corner", where climbers like to go and train.
And then admire the cascading Gidan waterfall.
He is born on Mount Gidan-tau and, jumping along the ledges, quickly runs into the valley.

Day 4 - Trekking to the Mizhirgi glacier, the first field under the Brno mountain
It is interesting to take a look at the views that open from the parallel moraine leading to the Northern Massif of the Mizhirga glacier.
From here, the Northern Wall opens from a different angle, the views fascinate and make you fall in love with yourself more and more!
From the very beginning of the journey, we have been continuously accompanied by the Northern Massif.
We walk along the trail, along the moraine, and it feels like there are endless 5D wallpapers in front of our eyes, which zoom in and out, amazing effect!
The massive and rocky Brno Mountain (4 110 meters) looks out on the right, and on the left there are views of the "Warm Corner" and the Ukyu Kosh hut, which looks like a tiny red dot.
Going forward, we will come to a long-awaited level place.
This is a huge grassy area in the mountains, completely covered with emerald grass.
There is one interesting object on the field.
Let's get closer and try to figure out what it's designed for!

Day 5 - Trekking to the Troll Language and outlandish swings in the mountains
Today we are going to the most panoramic point of our route — the Troll's Tongue!
The bus will take us to the mountains, then we'll walk.
The trail runs along the green hills, on which a floral carpet is spread.
Connoisseurs of Alpine meadows, white sheep, graze peacefully here.
The path leads us to a rocky outcrop that overhangs a chasm more than 100 m high.
Girls, take dresses for this location, we highly recommend it.
And our guide will make sure that the photo shoot is safe!
There are wish-makers in every group.
There is a magic arch in the rock especially for this purpose.
And another highlight of the route is the high mountain swing with a view of the Bezengi Wall.
On the descent we will visit the ruins of the village of Nizhny Khulam.
People left this city a long time ago, and only our guide knows why this happened.

Day 6 - Trekking to the Bezengi glacier
Those who like to get up early on vacation in Bezengi will always be pleased with the magnificent, dawn landscapes.
We strongly recommend that you admire the Bezengian Wall at sunrise!
There are dark, sleeping mountains all around, and at the end of the gorge, the Bezengian Wall lights up with pink light.
The first rays of the sun touch its five thousand meters and the pointed top of the Dome.
Today we have a very intense hike — we are going to the Bezengi glacier and the Bezengi wall.
The wall is 13 kilometers of snow and ice, and there are two snow-white five-thousand-meter peaks: Dzhangitau and Shkhara.
On this day, we will walk on a real glacier: most of the way will be over rocks, but in some places there will be snow and real, emerald ice under our feet.
Sometimes in one shot we can catch green meadows, flowers and snow-capped peaks of Bezenga.
The active part of the tour along the route: 6.3 km on foot, altitude difference 2140-2550 m, trekking duration 5-6 hours.

Day 7 - Departure
In the morning we leave Bezengi and return to Mineralnye Vody.
12:30-13:30 Arrival in Mineralnye Vody, departure home.
Depending on the weather conditions, the physical condition of the participants and other factors, the tour program may be changed.

The route is trekking and provides for walking through mountainous (rugged) terrain. This type of active recreation involves daily climbing and dropping heights (ascents and descents).

The route passes through forest trails, dirt roads, alpine meadows, large and small stones. The routes will have an altitude difference of 160 to 480 m per day. On one day of the route, the altitude difference will be 800 m.

Climbing up to 800 m is about the same as climbing 260 floors.

The route is simple, we recommend it for beginners and parents with children.

The route runs at an altitude of: 1560-2820 m .

The Bezengi Alpine Camp is a kind and hospitable place in the heart of the Caucasus mountains.

On the territory of the Bezenga alpine camp there is a drying room for things, a cafe, a souvenir shop, a tourist equipment store, a grocery store.

Laundry and kindergarten services are available for an additional fee (a child can be left in the kindergarten for the whole day under the supervision of a tutor).

We draw your attention to the rules of choosing clothes for the trip: in the Caucasus, you can wear trousers and T-shirts. Shorts and T-shirts should not be taken for a trip to the Caucasus.
