It is impossible to relax in North Ossetia and not see the Bear Mountain, otherwise called Kubus. A pine tree grows on its top, which, according to legend, fulfills the most cherished desires, you just need to stock up on colorful ribbons.

The gentle slopes of Kubus hide another miracle spring, which is endowed with magical properties. In general, Kubus is a place of tourist pilgrimage: they even celebrate the New Year there!

Then, going out to the observation deck, travelers will admire the gentle Gebi gorge, the peaks of Aikhva and Laboda, as well as the enchanting Taimasi waterfalls — the triad of mother-of-pearl ribbons of these famous streams is visible even from afar and amazes with its pristine splendor.

The three sisters, as the participants of the previous tours called Taimazi, have been flowing down from the slopes of the Kharez Gorge for millions of years.

In the final, we will go around the world, slowly circumnavigate Kubus, plunging into the wild and dense forest at the foot of the mountain.

Karaugom is one of the most famous shells of ancient glaciers in Ossetia. It descends from Wilpata through two icefalls. The area of the glacier is impressive — about 20 square kilometers.

The tour starts from the village of Dzinaga and continues under the shade of ancient pine forests. The eternal song of the Karaugomdon River accompanies the traveler almost the entire way.

The closer we get to the glacier, the more visible the contrast of vibrant nature and frozen ice blocks. Karaugom is huge and formidable, it will chill anyone who dares to approach it.

Today, the route is easy, simple and does not require special equipment and physical training.

Galdoridon Waterfall is the pearl of the tour, a five-cascade stream 35 meters high, located on the river of the same name.

To reach it, you will have to walk through a blooming meadow — there is a lot of fragrant willow tea growing here. Then the path will lead the traveler into the cool, forest shade, and only then will the noisy Galdoridon appear.

There will be another stream along the way — Buravidon. It is noticeable from a distance because it is quite high: the jets flowing down from the Sugan Ridge are reflected by hundreds of multicolored sparks in sunny weather.

The day ends with a hike to the Bayradi Waterfall. This waterfall is sometimes called by the name of the river that feeds it — Hurakomidon, and sometimes it is called Noisy. He helps the river ribbon leave the embrace of the Sugan Ridge, plunging from a 20-meter cliff into the rocky mouth of the canyon.

A hike to the glacier is planned for today. We start from the glade of the same name.

We pass the cyclopean stone, and the roads split: one of them leads to the verdant, curly Kubus, and the second, accompanied by the Tanadon River, goes straight to the Tana Tsete glacier.

This time the tour involves maximum proximity: unlike Karaugom, we will get close to the ancient glacier and even have a tea party surrounded by breathtaking views!

Tana Tsete is located between two Digora peaks, Laboda and Taymasi. In summer, especially at the end of June and July, the local meadows are decked out: forget-me-nots, pink mountaineers, and orange poppies look at travelers from everywhere.

Against the background of a colorful natural flower bed, framed by wooded mountains and snowy peaks, the glacier looks so unreal and unusual that it is almost impossible to look away from it.

The Frigate Tower and ancient Ossetian villages are the goal of the route.

The building, which from a distance looks like a majestic stone sailboat, was built in the 14th and 16th centuries. The inescapable charm of the past centuries reigns within its walls — it is a wonderful place to recharge your batteries and dream.

Next, we will see how the mysterious ancestral tower of the Sedanovs stands on an impregnable rock. You will have to puzzle over how the warriors got into the fortress during the Middle Ages.

The Museum of Nana Zadaleski's mother. In this place, we will learn about an amazing woman from Ossetia, who performed a real feat, saving many Alan children. Ossetians consider her to be truly holy.

We will also visit Nana's cave, where she hid with orphaned children for a long time.
