The origin of MMK began in 1925 with the design of a plant in Sverdlovsk, and later it was confirmed that ore reserves on Mount Magnitnaya reached 400 million tons, and in 1929 Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works began operations.

MMK is an enterprise of the ferrous metallurgical industry in Russia, which includes complexes with a full production cycle. Today, the plant produces raw steel, iron, and rare tinplate.

During the tour, you will visit the MMK Museum, the blast furnace shop and the production of thick-rolled products.

Sightseeing tour of Magnitogorsk.

In 1743, the Magnitnaya Fortress appeared on the right bank of the Yaik River as a defensive line on the border with the Kirghiz-Kaisat steppe, but still, locals consider June 30, 1929, to be the date of birth of the city, when the huge Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and the city began to be built here.

Magnitogorsk is the second most populous city in the Chelyabinsk region.

Many consider it the metallurgical capital of Russia.

In Magnitogorsk, you can see Stalinist Empire stucco, arches, bas-reliefs, monuments, monuments and park areas, and there is also a monument to the border of Europe and Asia, since the Ural River marks the border between the two continents.

The city is located on the Miass River, at the foot of the Ilmen Mountains. The first settlement appeared here in 1773, when Tula merchant I.I. Luginin, who founded the Zlatoust Plant, received permission to build a copper smelter on the Miass River.

In the 19th century, many gold mines were discovered in the vicinity of Miass, which contributed to the economic development of the city. 54 mines and 23 gold placers were developed here.

Today, the city is surrounded by greenery of the Ilmen Mineralogical Reserve and has a beautiful wooden architecture. Miass is partially located on the shores of the picturesque Lake Turgoyak, and ski resorts are located near the city.

There are also characters from other famous works in the park: the Gorynych Serpent, Baba Yaga's wooden hut, the well, and the forest throne.

During the summer, there is a fountain in the park, decorated in the form of a book. It took more than 500 tons of stone from 8 quarries to create these facilities.

Excursion to the museum of Kaslin casting.

The Kaslin Museum is the only specialized museum of artistic casting in Russia. It is here that you can get acquainted with the history of the iron foundry.

The museum houses a unique collection of cast iron castings, which were made in the 19th-20th centuries at the Kaslin factory. The exhibition presents the best examples of Kaslin casting, which were created according to the original models of outstanding Russian and Western European sculptors.

A special place in the museum's collection is occupied by cast-iron miniatures: pocket watch chains and key chains.
