Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Makhachkala Sightseeing Tour
Gathering of the group at the airport of Makhachkala.
The recommended arrival time is before 13:00.
Group transfers:
Uytash airport;
railway station, Makhachkala.
Our tour begins with a pleasant part — traditional Caucasian hospitality.
Lunch will be held in an institution in Makhachkala, where the national cuisine of the peoples of Dagestan will be served.
The city of contrasts and national color, the capital of the Republic of Dagestan is ready to share its secrets and beauty.
During the sightseeing tour, you will see Makhachkala from a bird's-eye view by climbing to the observation deck on Mount Tarki.
Then go down to the main mosque of the republic, Yusuf Bey Jami, where you will get a closer look at the architecture and interior decoration.
Complete your tour of the city with a walk along Rhodope Boulevard, named after the Rhodope Mountain range in Bulgaria.
There is a city embankment and a beach, a summer garden, Avar and Kumyk theaters.
The avenue is a concentration of monuments in honor of cultural and artistic figures of Dagestan.
Briefly immerse yourself in the leisurely life of carefree townspeople, for whom the boulevard is a favorite place for walks.
After completing the program, you will go to the hotel.

Day 2 - Sulak Canyon
Breakfast at the hotel.
Eviction.
A speedboat ride through the largest reservoir in the North Caucasus will provide you with vivid emotions (for an additional fee — from 700 rubles).
You will see a stunning gorge, at the bottom of which the village of Stary Chirkey rests under the water column.
Dagestan's most striking and recognizable landmark, the deepest canyon in Europe, awaits you.
The famous green ribbon of the Sulak Canyon, winding between the narrow cliffs, sparkling in the sun, carries its waters from the Chirkeyskaya hydroelectric dam to the Miatlin dam.
From the observation deck of the village of Dubki you will have a view of its most spectacular curves.
We will visit one of the most interesting places in Dagestan — the Nokhyo cave complex (for an additional fee — 500 rubles).
The tunnels are connected by a suspension bridge over the Sulak River, on both sides of which there are observation decks.
They offer unimaginable views.
Here you will have the opportunity to perform a bungee jump for an additional fee.
Freshly caught trout fried over coals until crisp will be served for lunch (main course can be replaced on request).
Transfer to the hotel in Derbent.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Free day.
On the third day, you will have the opportunity to join day trips for an additional fee to choose from.:

Gamsutl, Choh;
Gunib, Salt;
Kahib. Goor;
Kubachi;
Ahty;
Huchni.
Either spend this day in Derbent, visit the beach or choose any other activity.

Day 4 - Derbent. Naryn-Kala Fortress, Lun. Departure
Breakfast at the hotel.
Room release.
The first stop will be at the Lun ekranoplane, an ingenious creation of Soviet engineering.
A visit to the Naryn-Kala citadel will reveal to you the ancient history of the fortress, which has protected the city from the invasion of nomads and conquerors for hundreds of years.
While walking through the narrow streets of the old town, enveloped in the aromas of fresh pastries, you will experience the unique oriental flavor of Derbent.
We conclude our trip with a feast in the ethnodome with dishes of South Dagestan cuisine: dolma, shah pilaf, chudu and tea drinking.
To take away not only memories, but also memorable gifts, the program includes a visit to a souvenir shop where you can buy local handicrafts, tea, sweets and much more.
Group transfer to the airport and railway station of Makhachkala upon departure.
Departure time from Dagestan is after 18:00.

The ascent to Gamsutl involves a drop-off by car and a walking route. In the parking lot, local residents provide drop-off services on mountain transport (UAZ, Niva). You can drive by car for about 1.5 km, and at this moment the steepest part of the climb is overcome. The cost of the service is 100-200 rubles / person in one direction. From the car stop, the path to the end of the route will be 1.8 km, the height difference is 1450-1670 m.

This tour is a great way to get acquainted with Dagestan, although a lot depends on the time of year you visit. In my opinion, it’s best to travel either during the off-season or to plan a longer trip if you really want to explore the region in greater depth.
