Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Chirkeyskoye reservoir and Sulak Canyon
Gathering of the group at the airport of Makhachkala.
The recommended arrival time is until 11:00. Group transfers:
Uytash airport;
railway station, Makhachkala.
First, we will go to admire the waters of the reservoir, the largest in the entire North Caucasus. This reservoir was formed on the Sulak River as a result of the construction of a hydroelectric power station.
Next, our way lies to the village of Dubki, which offers a wonderful view of the Sulak Canyon.
Boating on the Chirkeysky reservoir will charge us with positive emotions and give us amazing impressions (for an additional fee starting from 700 rubles).
Freshly caught trout fried over coals until crisp will be served for lunch (main course can be replaced on request).
We will visit one of the most interesting places in Dagestan — the Nokhyo cave complex (for an additional fee of 700 rubles).
The caves are connected by a suspension bridge located on a hill above the Sulak River, on both sides of which there are viewing platforms offering unimaginable views.

Day 2 - Hamsutl and Gunib villages. Museum of Local Lore
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today we have to travel to mountainous Dagestan and get acquainted with the traditions of the Avar people.
Gamsutl is a famous abandoned village in Dagestan, located at an altitude of almost 1,500 meters above sea level. It is full of legends and tall tales, and among the cluster of deserted houses of Dagestan's Machu Picchu, only the wind and brave tourists wander here.
We will descend to Gamsutl from the top of the village of Sogratl, an ancient settlement in the Gunib district. During the ascent to the top, you will enjoy views of the famous Saddleback and Lighthouse mountains.
At lunch, we will try Avar national dishes: khinkal, botishal and apricot porridge.
Next, we will visit the village of Gunib, whose history is inextricably linked with the name of Imam Shamil and the end of the Caucasian War.
The Museum of Local Lore will introduce us to the history of the village and the way of life of its inhabitants. Maximum immersion in culture can be achieved by trying on the traditional costumes of the peoples of Dagestan from the museum's collection.
We return to the hotel.

Day 3 - Derbent. A feast at the ethnodome. Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Room release.
We will spend the last day of our tour in Derbent, the southernmost and most ancient city in Russia.
The first stop will be at the Lun ekranoplane, an ingenious creation of Soviet engineering. Well preserved to the present day, it was preserved for several years in the coastal area of the city of Kaspiysk.
A visit to the Naryn-Kala citadel will reveal to us the ancient history of the fortress, which has protected the city from the invasion of nomads for hundreds of years.
Next, we will walk through the streets of the old city and visit the Juma Mosque, built in 733. We will plunge into the culture of the southern peoples and feel the oriental flavor of Derbent.
The gift shop will allow you to buy gifts for yourself and your loved ones in memory of Dagestan. Traditional crafts of the peoples, tea and sweets are presented here.
We conclude our trip with a feast in the ethnodome with dishes of South Dagestan cuisine: dolma, pilaf, chudu and tea drinking.
Group transfer to the airport and railway station of Makhachkala upon departure.
The recommended departure time is after 18:00.
