Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk
Arrival in Pyatigorsk.
Check-in at the hotel (check-in from 14:00), things can be left in the luggage room at the hotel.
We recommend having lunch in advance, as there will be no such opportunity during the tour.

The excursion program begins immediately after the organizational meeting. Please come to the meeting exactly at the appointed time.
This day is a journey through two iconic resort cities, revealing their unique character.
The acquaintance begins in Zheleznovodsk, surrounded by greenery. The first point of attraction is the unusual Solar Zodiac Clock, where the shadow counts down the time, and the star symbols add mystery to the place.
Nearby stands the elegant Pushkin Gallery, an openwork glass and metal structure that preserves the spirit of social events.
At its entrance, guests are greeted by a monument to Alexander Pushkin, as if inviting them to a poetic walk.
The heart of the resort city beats at its legendary springs: Slavyanovsky and Smirnovsky, where you can drink healing mineral water.
Then the path leads down a majestic Cascading staircase, whose terraces, decorated with flowers and fountains, descend to the mirrored surface of the Resort Lake — an ideal place for contemplative relaxation.
Next, the route goes to Pyatigorsk, a city forever associated with the name of Mikhail Lermontov.
The program begins with a visit to the mournful place of the poet's duel on the slope of Mount Mashuk. Then the atmosphere changes: we descend to the mysterious blue lake Proval, famous for the novel "The Twelve Chairs".
The next stop is the Aeolian Harp on the edge of a cliff, where the wind creates its eternal melody. The culmination of exploring Pyatigorsk is a walk through the oldest park "Tsvetnik".
Here we will see the historical drinking gallery, the elegant Lermontov Gallery, take a look at the authentic Gukasov coffee shop and visit the romantic grotto of Diana.
This eventful day will end with an inspection of the building of the Institute of Balneology, a symbol of the scientific approach to treatment in the Caucasian Mineral Waters.

Day 2 - Elbrus region
Breakfast (if provided, lunch box).
06:00 Excursion to the Elbrus region.
The road through the Baksan Gorge is like a path to another dimension. The Baksan River whispers the legends of bygone eras, and the pines, the word wise guardians, nod their peaks.
When you step into the Azau clearing, it feels like you are entering a sanctuary of mountain spirits. This is where the ascent to heaven begins.
The cable car smoothly lifts you higher and higher, and the world is transformed before your eyes. The forests remain below, giving way to the kingdom of eternal snow. A miracle happens at an altitude of 3,847 meters. You find yourself between heaven and earth.
The Cheget glade greets you with a whisper of wind that plays on the strings of the soul. A chairlift is like flying in the clouds.
And when the fog clears, a heart—stopping view opens up - majestic Elbrus in its eternal tranquility.
The source of narzan. The water born in the bowels of the earth is bubbling, filled with the power of ancient volcanoes. The stones around are painted in magical red tones, as if touched by Midas. You taste the water.
Lunch at Cheget glade or Azau glade for an additional fee.
19:00 Return to the Pyatigorsk hotel.

Day 3 - The Chegem gorge. Bathing in thermal springs
Breakfast at the hotel (if provided).
13:00 We drive to one of the most recognizable natural symbols of Kabardino-Balkaria — the Chegem waterfalls.
The road passes through the changing landscapes of the Pre—Caucasus: soft hills gradually give way to gorges, rock walls become higher, riverbeds become colder and more transparent.
We enter the Chegem gorge and find ourselves in a gorge where the rocks literally "converge" above the road.
The Chegem waterfalls are not a single stream, but a whole group of jets that fall from the eaves and ledges, crumbling into fine water dust.
In winter, waterfalls turn into fantastic ice draperies. The sound of the water is reflected from the stone walls, and it seems that the gorge itself is breathing.
We make a stop for a walk, photos and quiet contemplation. The photo points are obvious in themselves: safe areas along the trail and areas with good visibility to the main stream.
Moving further along the Chegem gorge, you get a better sense of its scale: narrow sections give way to more open ones, the bottom of the gorge is crushed by boulders, and the river, making its way between boulders, is gaining speed.
The second part of the tour is relaxation and warmth: the Geduko thermal complex. This is a modern recreation area with open and/or semi-open bowls and a water temperature of about +20 to +45 °C (there are six pools in total).
We recommend that you bring bathing accessories, slippers and a towel.
The entrance to the thermal spring is paid separately — 700 rubles / person.
According to the information of the complex, the water belongs to thermal springs, but we do not give medical recommendations and do not declare therapeutic effects; be guided by your own well-being and the general rules of visiting.
The Geduco infrastructure allows you to spend time in comfort: there are changing rooms, recreation areas where you can recuperate.
Depending on the season, the impression will vary: in winter, the frosty air and hot water contrast especially pleasantly; in summer, warm bowls and cooler pools alternate.

Day 4 - Dombai

06:00 Excursion to the famous ski resort of the country.
Dombay is a state.
It is a feeling when the vast expanse of the mountain circus does not overwhelm, but, on the contrary, fills with a feeling of inexplicable peace.
Dombay-Ulgen's peak looms not as a threat, but as the silent embodiment of permanence.
The cable car ride (for an additional fee) takes place in almost meditative silence, where the only entertainment is watching the pattern of forests on the slopes change, giving way to bare stone.
There is no euphoria at the top — there is lightness, cold purity and an almost physical feeling of reaching another, higher point of reality.
Lunch in a clearing becomes a logical continuation of this state: a simple meal on a simple wooden table seems to be the only right thing against the background of such uncompromising simplicity and beauty.
This is not a day for vivid emotions, but for a deep, quiet delight that remains inside for a long time after descending into the valley.

Day 5 - Kislovodsk and its surroundings. Departure

A trip to Kislovodsk is a walk through time, from its origins to its modern heyday.
The day begins at the source: from the monumental St. Nicholas Cathedral and the rugged boulders of the Kislovodsk Fortress, we will step into the green kingdom of the Kislovodsk Park.
Here, every turn opens up a new picture: here is the delicate bridge "Lady's Whim", as if it came down from the pages of a novel, and here is the frozen mirror of a Mirrored Pond.
The trail leads to the mysterious Glass Stream grotto, to the monument to Alexander Pushkin in the shade of trees, past the constantly blooming Flower Calendar and the front Colonnade — the main gate to this paradise.
The heart of resort life beats in the Main narzan Gallery, where the sound of running water mixes with quiet conversations.
Walking along the lively Resort Boulevard, we come to the historic Narzan Baths building, which preserves the traditions of healing.
And then urban elegance is replaced by wild nature. We are going to the mysterious Ring Mountain to see a "window" of millions of years, blown out by the wind.
After a short break in the Tea House, the finale awaits us — the thunderous roar of Honey Waterfalls.
The descent into the damp, foggy canyon, where five water cascades fall, becomes a strong, piercing contrast and an unforgettable end to the day.

Hello, I went on the "Caucasian Mosaic" tour and really enjoyed the experience. I was especially impressed by Mount Elbrus, Dombay, Kislovodsk, and the Honey Waterfalls. We even had time to visit an alpaca farm, which I absolutely loved. The guides shared fascinating insights about the sites and included personal stories, which made the trip engaging and far from boring. We stayed at the Intourist Hotel — it was comfortable and met all our needs. The only downside was the early mornings every day. While I understand it's necessary to beat the crowds at popular attractions, I think the itinerary would benefit from at least one day with a more relaxed start to let everyone catch up on rest. The combination of early wake-ups and late returns makes it hard to get enough sleep. The buses were modern and well-equipped, and pick-ups were always punctual. The guides offered great suggestions for how to spend our free time, and there was plenty of opportunity to shop and try local cuisine. Overall, we were very happy with the trip. The tour was well-planned, covered a wide range of destinations, and gave us a rich and complete impression of the Caucasus. Thank you!
