One of the most interesting sights in the North Caucasus is the famous Chegem waterfalls. 

The history of waterfalls is associated with the melting of glaciers from the peaks of the Caucasus.

Meltwater makes its way into the cavities of the mountains and comes out over the rocks in the form of picturesque waterfalls.

Thousands of small and large water jets flow and fall from a great height into a stormy river flowing below.

The Cherek Gorge is very picturesque.

Charming Blue Lakes are located at a considerable height, and you will have the opportunity to visit one of them on our tour.

The blue Lake is a pearl hidden from view in the highlands.

It is karst, which means that groundwater has filled the funnel formed as a result of rock leaching.

For such reservoirs, small sizes and serious depth are traditional.

The Blue Lake is considered one of the deepest in the world.

Beyond the Blue Lake, the old Balkarian wheeled road begins, passing through the narrow Cherek Gorge between steep cliffs on one side and a yawning chasm above the river running deep below on the other.

The village of Verkhnyaya Balkaria is located in the upper reaches of the Cherek River, one of the left tributaries of the Terek.

And it is the original place of settlement of the Balkarian people, and then the natives of this village occupied the neighboring gorges.

Aushiger thermal springs (additional fee).

In the middle of the last century, oil production works were carried out in this area, during which this miracle of nature was discovered, since then residents have begun to build swimming pools here.

The rumor about the healing properties of water quickly spread throughout the republic, and people began to come here.

Today, the Aushiger thermal springs have become a popular resort.  The entrance ticket to the thermal springs is 300 rubles/person (additional fee).

Dombai is a mountainous territory in Karachay-Cherkessia, its southern border is the Main Caucasian Ridge, the highest point is Dombai—Ulgen peak with a height of 4046 m.

No wonder it is called the "heart of the mountains" — Dombayskaya polyana is surrounded on all sides by majestic mountains.

Dark coniferous forests, stormy rivers, waterfalls, eternal snows and glaciers create the unique beauty of this area.

The junction of the main gorges — Alibek, Amanauz and Dombai-Ulgen — forms a natural center — the picturesque Dombai glade at an altitude of 1630-50 m.

The Elbrus region is one of the most picturesque and interesting places in the North Caucasus. 

On the tour you will visit the foot of the greatest peak of the Caucasus – Elbrus (5642 m). 

Admire the southern slope of Elbrus from Mount Cheget from a height of 3040 m. 

You will see wild gorges, gorges and glaciers, from which stormy rivers are born, try the mineral springs of Elbrus. 

Here you can buy souvenirs, warm handmade knitted items made of sheep and goat wool and fragrant herbal teas collected in the highlands. 

Ascent by cable car in Cheget (additional fee 900 rubles / person), Elbrus (additional fee in Elbrus – three levels are paid at once (stations "Old Horizon" height 3000 m.n.o.m., "Mir" height 3500 m.n.o.m., "Mount Bashi 3800 m.n.units) - 2,100 rubles/person, children from 6 to 13 years old 1200 rubles/person;), entrance to the Elbrus National Park (environmental fee) – 200 rubles/person.

The Narzan Glade in the Elbrus region is a small valley with a total area of 3 square kilometers in the upper reaches of the Baksan Gorge.

Arkhyz is a place for year–round recreation.

In summer, Arkhyz turns into a mountainous, environmentally friendly, and ideal resort for lovers of hiking and sightseeing tourism.

In winter, people go here to go skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, snowboarding.

In the Caucasus mountains, on a sheer cliff sheltered from the weather by a natural stone canopy, there is an amazing attraction.

The face of Christ was discovered in Arkhyz in 1999, although rumors about the icon in the mountains have been circulating for a long time.

The exact date and circumstances of the creation of the image are still unknown, as is its author.

Scientists and believers continue to put forward versions, but the Face of Christ is still surrounded by mysteries.

The temple complex, located in the gorge of the Bolshoy Zelenchuk River on the territory of the Nizhne-Arkhyz settlement, the complex includes three cathedral churches and eleven small churches (entrance ticket for an additional fee of 300 rubles /person).

After lunch, you will get acquainted with the all-season resort "Arkhyz".

This is a young resort with a well-developed infrastructure.

Cable car ascent (additional fee – 1,150 rubles /person, children from 6 to 13 years old – 750 rubles/person).
