Here he worked hard and fruitfully, received numerous guests, and found his last refuge here. A legend was born here: the spring was formed at the place where the Snow Maiden melted, and her trembling heart did not die, but continues to beat at the bottom of the "Blue Key".

Shchelykovo is not only a memorial museum, but also a nature reserve museum. An atmosphere of peace, harmony, inspiration and creativity reigns throughout the protected area.

We will walk through the quiet streets of the ancient town, which, despite all the twists and turns of the XX century, has retained the charm of the Volga county town.

The writer Alexander Ostrovsky once walked along a wide boulevard along the Volga, and, most likely, the prototypes of the heroes of his works made a leisurely promenade here, the artist Boris Kustodiev was inspired by the spirit of the original city at one time, and the Persian princess captured by Stepan Razin, according to local legend, gave the name to this small town.

From May to September, you can take a short boat trip (for an additional fee, payment to the guide on site) along the Volga and admire the Volga shores.

Sightseeing walking tour of the ancient city, the name and the mysterious history going back centuries. Currently, Shuya is an exceptionally interesting city in Central Russia in terms of architecture and urban planning. The buildings of the XVIII-early XX centuries, which are rare in their preservation, have brought the atmosphere of the Central Russian merchant city to our days.

We offer the tourists a theatrical tour about Konstantin Balmont.

Visit to the museum. The group is greeted by a guide in the image of a lady of the Silver Age, going down the stairs she reads a poem by the poet.

Then, having got acquainted with the group, she invites you to go to the Balmont exposition "And the father's house beckons...", where she tells about the life, work and fate of our great countryman, the world-famous poet of the Silver Age K.D. Balmont, quoting poetry and prose of the poet also by heart.

The tourists are invited to read something from the poetry of the Silver Age or listen to a romance based on the poems of K.D. Balmont - an audio recording.

Lunch at the cafe.

We continue our acquaintance with the ancient famous manors and visit the once largest and richest Shuisky manor — the mansion of the palace-type manufacturer, merchant M.A. Pavlov (1846-1915).

A beautiful two-storey building with a beautifully preserved rich interior! He has a real magic mirror that cannot be cleaned from his past. No matter how often and thoroughly it is cleaned, after a while spots reappear on the surface, as if someone touched it at night.

We suggest that you, following the sign, put your palm to the mirror and make a cherished wish. If there is a palm mark on the glass, then the wish will come true! So says the local sign!
