A visit to the rich urban estate in the Art Nouveau style, owned by D.G. Burylin, one of the largest Ivanovo manufacturers and patrons, the creator of the Museum of Industry and Art.
The estate began to take shape in the middle of the XIX century, when a one-story main house appeared at the intersection of streets. In 1902-1903, it was completely rebuilt and received a second floor.
Dmitry Burylin was a true patriot of Ivanovo – Voznesensk: in addition to his main job, he was engaged in charity and social activities a lot. But his special passion was collecting. He built a special building for the collection of rarities and antiquities.
