Trekking to Ullu-Tau Mountain of desires in the Elbrus region

Adyr-Su is a stunning gorge that preserves lakes and waterfalls of extraordinary beauty. It is here that the sacred Ullu-Tau mountain is located. There is only one working alpine camp in this gorge. There are no many hotels, cafes, hustle and bustle, there is no mobile connection.

This is a place for those who love peace and quiet and dream of taking a week off from civilization.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival. Verkhny Baksan village — Adyr-Su gorge — Ullu-Tau camp

11:30-12:00 Gathering of the group at the railway station and at the Mineralnye Vody airport.

Transfer by minibus to the village of Verkhny Baksan (2.5-3 hours).

Here the usual asphalt ends, and the road runs into the rocks.

It was in this place that a mountain lift for cars was built a long time ago.

The car drives onto a special platform and, with the help of a unique mechanism, rises up to 30 m.

This is the only way for cars to get into the Adyr-Su gorge.

At this point, the instructor and the group ascend the stairs on foot (climbing approximately 7-8 floors).

We carry personal items and groceries with us.

If the mountain lift is working, then we lift all the things on the lift and go up light.

Then we will be transported by mountain transport deep into the Adyr-Su gorge.

This is the end of car crossings and we will spend the next 7 happy days in a very spiritual place!

    Accommodation in a guest house.

Active part on foot: 1.5 km.
