Excursion to the Curonian Spit and Zelenogradsk National Park, 7-8 hours.

The Curonian Spit is a unique corner of nature, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

A narrow strip of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon.

A trip to the spit is for everyone who is tired of the noise of dusty cities and dreams of breathing in the fresh sea air filled with phytoncides of the coniferous forest.

The program of the trip certainly includes the highest dune – the height of Efa; access to the sea and a walk through the forest.

Those who wish can buy hot smoked fish on the spit, which is caught and smoked here according to the old recipe.

Transfer to Zelenogradsk. 

You will get acquainted with the very first and famous resort of East Prussia – Krantz, now the city of Zelenogradsk. 

During a walking tour of Zelenograd, you will see the unique ancient architecture of Krantz: boarding houses, hotels and private villas at the turn of the late XIX-XX centuries; St. Adalbert Lutheran Church, Queen Louise Square and the house where she stayed in 1807, and much more.  

A walk along the promenade will allow you to enjoy a wonderful view of the sea.

Route: village Yantarny – Svetlogorsk.

Acquaintance with the village of Yantarny, formerly Palmniken.

You will get acquainted with the history of the place.

The architectural dominants of the place are the Lutheran Church of 1892, the aristocratic building of the Schloss Hotel.

You will walk to the sea through the M. Becker Park with century-old trees.

Since 2016, Yantarny Beach has been receiving a blue flag every year – a sign of an ecologically clean and equipped beach according to world standards.

The largest amber deposit in the world is located here.

You can visit the quarry of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine, where amber is extracted in an open industrial way.

You can try yourself as an amber prospector and, armed with a shovel, get a "sunstone" in a mini-quarry as a souvenir and recharge with natural energy and health in the Amber Pyramid, which took about 800 kg of amber to build.

You will visit the amber production.

Here you will be told about the processing of the sunstone and its medicinal properties.

Next, we will get acquainted with the sights of Svetlogorsk – Raushen.

You will be fascinated by the ancient architecture of the late XIX – early XX centuries: private villas, boarding houses, hotels.

Organ hall, larch park, water tower, Kurhaus.

The symbols of Svetlogorsk are the beautiful works of the German sculptor G. Brachert – "Water Carrier" and "Nymph".

You will see the new "home" of KVN and the Baltic Debuts Film Festival – the Yantar Hall Variety Theater.

You will be led to the sea by terraced slopes, where a promenade was built near the water for the convenience of vacationers.

Excursion "A walk through Gvardeysk and Tapiau Castle", 6-7h

You will visit the charming town of Gvardeysk, which has preserved the main signs and flavor of the old town of Tapiau: the market square, the town hall with a musical clock, the XVIII century church and the typical urban development for these places. 

And the history of many cities here began with the foundation of the castle-fortress by the knights of the Teutonic Order in the Middle Ages. 

In the preserved part of the Tapiau castle, you will be transported to the past, rich in vivid events and big names of the guests of the Tapiau fortress.  

In Tapiau, he met the end of the war in 1945. Soviet poet and war correspondent A.T.Tvardovsky, it is here that he will complete the poem "Vasily Terkin". 

You will see a monument to the beloved hero. 

The city is also known as the birthplace of the German artist Lovis Corinth, famous for his monumental paintings on mythological and religious themes. 

He is considered the last major portrait painter of Germany in the second half of the XIX - early XX century. 

You will get acquainted with the work of L. Korint in his parents' house, which has become the new museum of the city.
