An exciting journey through time awaits you in the medieval Tapiau castle in the city of Gvardeysk: from the chivalric times to the present day with the big names of the most famous historical figures who visited the walls of these castles and the fascinating stories that took place there. The most interesting museum halls with many historical objects and artifacts.
Settlements grew up under the walls of such castles, which later became cities. The typical layout of old German cities has been preserved in Gvardeysk: in the very center there is a market square framed by ancient buildings; the city parish church (church), founded in the early 16th century as a Catholic church (today the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Peter the Great). The monument to the Russian soldiers of the four wars on Victory Square, the monument to the internationalist soldiers in the city square, as well as the bronze figure of Vasily Terkin, the literary hero of A.T.Tvardovsky's poem, remind of the heroes of bygone times.

The Curonian Spit is an amazing corner of nature, a peninsula where, on a narrow strip of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon, you can see the greenery of the forest, the swamp, and the dunes — the largest sandy embankment in the world.
In 1987, the Russian part of the Curonian Spit became a national park — a protected area, and in 2000 the Curonian Spit was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in the nomination "cultural landscape".
You have the opportunity to relax in nature, enjoy the beauty of the place, breathe in the purest sea air filled with phytoncides of the coniferous forest, take a walk along the Baltic Sea coast, admire the views of the dune landscape and the Curonian Lagoon.
The world's first ornithological station was opened in 1901 on the Curonian Spit. And our Russian ornithologists are the successors of those first explorers of the bird world.
Bird lovers will be able to visit the ringing station, where the world's largest bird traps are located, learn about the work of ornithologists, and see live birds (which will be caught on this day).
After that, you will have a walk through the most beautiful resort town of Zelenogradsk.
Ancient resort architecture, a special atmosphere of relaxation and pleasure! It's impossible not to fall in love with this city! They are also very fond of cats here: it all started with the cat museum in the old water tower, and now the city houses are painted with a cat theme, a cute urban sculpture with cats, a cat town with a catfair and, of course, live fuzzies on the streets of the city.
After the tour, in your free time, you can take a walk on the promenade by the sea, climb to the observation deck of the water tower (also known as the cat museum) or visit the museum of Resort Fashion.
If you don't want to leave, you can stay — it's easy to return to Kaliningrad. In good weather, Zelenogradsk beach awaits you and a stunning sunset over the sea, which you can admire through the windows of a cafe or restaurant on the promenade (delicious and romantic!)

You will pass by Kneiphof Island, the stock exchange building, the territory of the Museum of the World Ocean with its historical fleet moored at the Marshal Baghramyan embankment, past the old bridges of Konigsberg, to the shores of Oktyabrsky Island, where significant modern buildings of Kaliningrad appear — a new football stadium, an opera house, a branch of the Tretyakov Gallery.
