We will meet you at the airport and go to check into a 4* hotel located in the prestigious historical part of Kaliningrad, formerly the elite area of old Konigsberg — Amalienau.
A compliment will be waiting for you in the room: a bottle of sparkling wine with fruits to relax after the flight and tune in to a beautiful and vibrant vacation!
We have a little rest and meet for a welcome lunch in a beautiful restaurant of local author's cuisine.
The establishment impresses with its exquisite interior with a large stained glass window — it gives the space a special grace and creates an atmosphere of refined comfort.
For an aperitif, we will be served a set of farm cheeses — a real ode to Kaliningrad cheese making.
The selection contains the best samples from local manufacturers, carefully aged and with a pronounced character.
Another appetizer is a set of Baltic delicacies with fried potato mousse. The set features the best Baltic seafood: lightly salted sprat, mackerel, herring and walleye.
As the main course, we will try fillet of Baltic eel, a real culinary pride of the Kaliningrad region!
All dishes are served with wine accompaniment, perfectly emphasizing the shades of flavors.
All that remains is to relax and have a great time — our bright, emotional and delicious adventure to Kaliningrad begins here and now! Chin-chin!
After dinner, we will have an unforgettable evening walk along the Pregolya River — a new look at Kaliningrad from the water.
We will go on a short trip along the canals, sail under ancient bridges, whose silhouettes in the evening lighting create a truly fabulous atmosphere.
We will get acquainted with the history of the city and see its historically significant places.
Let's walk along the picturesque embankments, where Immanuel Kant once strolled and Peter I conducted business negotiations.
Then we will go to the cozy marzipan house, a charming place where the atmosphere of an old pastry shop reigns.
Here we will taste different marzipan products with a cup of coffee or tea.
In 1809, Italian confectioners, the Pomatti brothers, opened a marzipan factory in Konigsberg. Their products quickly gained recognition: they were even supplied to the royal court.
Since then, Kaliningrad marzipan has become famous far beyond the region and is now popular all over the world!
After an eventful first day, we return to the hotel with a warm anticipation of tomorrow's immersion in the atmosphere of Kaliningrad.
We are waiting for a closer acquaintance with the city and its unique gastronomy.
