Day 1 - The museum-diorama "The Great Stand on the Ugra River". Sightseeing tour of Kaluga
07:45 Gathering of the group at the metro station Yugo-Zapadnaya (the guide meets with a sign with the name of the tour at the entrance to the cafe "Tasty and dot" (two–storey building, Pokryshkina str., 2). In the subway: the last car from the center, after the glass exit doors - to the left (exit to Pokryshkina str.).

The museum-diorama "The Great Stand on the Ugra River".
The first museum complex in Russia dedicated to the military company of 1480.
It was created on the initiative and works of the Kaluga Monastery of St. Tikhon's Deserts.
The diorama Museum is located on the territory that in 1480 was occupied by troops who participated in the Great Stand on the Ugra.
In addition to the diorama itself, the museum houses an exposition of other works dedicated to the theme of the liberation of Ancient Russia from the Mongol-Tatar yoke.

Day 2 - Kazan Ambrosievskaya desert. Kozelsk. Optina Deserts

Kozelsk is a city of Military Glory, which entered the history of the Russian State thanks to the unparalleled heroism of its inhabitants, who resisted the thousands of troops of Batu Khan in 1238.
The Holy Vvedenskaya Optina of the Deserts, without exaggeration, is the brightest lamp of Orthodox Russia.
One of the oldest monasteries, located on the banks of the Zhizdra River.
Optina of the Deserts are her elders. The experience of old age is an integral part of the spiritual tradition of Russian culture.
It was here that the Kireevsky brothers, N. V. Gogol, V. A. Zhukovsky, F. I. Tyutchev, I. S. Turgenev, P. A. Vyazemsky, F. M. Dostoevsky and many others came to the elders.
Church of the Transfiguration in S. N. Pryski.
A classic Russian manor church. It was built in 1731. With an amazing, incredible history, giving the opportunity to see the interiors of the 18th century, almost untouched by time, to pray in front of icons of unusual fate and fulfillment.
Kazan Ambrosievskaya desert in the village of Shamordino.
The largest convent in Europe of the 20th century, it was founded in 1884 with the blessing of St. Ambrose of Optina.
