Zhizdra is quite narrow, its shores are sparsely populated, the surrounding forests are rich in mushrooms and berries, and sandy beaches are often found along the shores. The picturesque landscapes of the central part of Russia, combined with the cleanest water, make the rest on the river bright and memorable.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting with the group, arrival at the place of overnight stay
Departure from Moscow from Kievsky railway station by trains No. 7007, 6161, 7009.
Tickets go on sale 10 days before the date of the trip and are purchased independently. Kaluga-1 destination station.
22:00 Meeting at Kaluga-1 station. Boarding a minibus and departure to the starting point of the rafting
23:30 Arrival at the overnight stay. A late dinner.

Day 2 - The beginning of the alloy. Hiking bath
09:00 Breakfast in camping conditions.
11:00 a.m. We pack our bags, go through a safety briefing and practical classes on the basics of rowing under the guidance of an instructor.

15:00 Continuation of rafting on the river.
17:00 Arrival at the parking place and overnight.

During the rafting, our team will go through the places where fierce battles took place in 1941. Along the high banks of the Zhizdra, there are overgrown trenches of a powerful defense line from the Great Patriotic War, in which helmets and cartridge cases can be easily found. In memory of those battles, mass graves are located along the shores.
Kayaks will glide slowly in a shallow canyon past pine forests and oak groves, sometimes clinging to the bottom of black trunks lying on the sandy bottom. There will also be rubble along the way. But together our team will overcome all difficulties ... the river is narrow, narrow, the channel is very winding with sharp turns. We can see small fish on the sandy bottom. And in the quiet backwaters and shallow waters there are a lot of fish: pike, chub, perch, roach or asp. There are ducks, herons and storks on the river. Fishing enthusiasts, taking a spinning rod with them, can count on a good catch of fish for the whole friendly company.
The flora of Zhizdra is amazing. The shores are blue with crested flowers, yellow and blue irises are dotted near the water, and lilies are white in quiet backwaters.
And in the evening there is a great opportunity to steam in the hiking bath, which will appear near the water. A rafting trip is the best way to end the day. It is a warmth that stays in the heart until the morning.
