This tour is ideal for those who love and appreciate nature. We will see unique places and animals in immaculate settings of their natural habitats, and become one with the nature. In this tour we will set out on a four-day sea trip where, if we are lucky, we will meet whales, orcas and brown bears, and see active volcanoes. In addition, we will go to the Valley of Geysers or Lake Kurilsk, or go rafting and fishing on capricious rivers in Kamchatka.

In this tour we will:

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arriving at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
We will meet you at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky International Airport.

We will transfer you to the hotel and visit the “Russia Starts Here” monument, a viewing platform, a souvenir shop and a fish market.

Checking-in and free time. At your option, you can swim in hot springs for extra fee.

Supper, briefing and pre-tour training.
Day 2 - Starting sea journey on the board of Kosatka boat
For the next four days a cosy KOSATKA twin-hull boat will be our home. We will check in for the trip early in the morning on the second day of our stay in Kamchatka. We will meet the crew, including the captain, mate and cook. And then our adventure will start.

On our way to the Avachinsky Gulf we will cross the Avachinsky Bay which is one of the largest ice-free bays in the world. It may seem surprising, but just in several hundreds of meters from the coastline we will meet wild seabirds. When we are leaving the bay, we will see “Three Brothers” rocks known as a symbol of Kamchatka. We will also enjoy the view on the Tikhaya Bay, in calm waters of which seamen rest or go fishing at any time of the year.

Day 3 - Sea journey on the board of Kosatka boat along the eastern coast of Kamchatka
During the next three days we will sail along the eastern coast of Kamchatka. We will visit the Bechevinskaya, Morzhovaya, Zheleznaya and Russian bays. The exact program will be determined by the captain depending on weather condition.

We will do our best for you to see aquatic animals of Kamchatka, including whales and orcas. We will spend the nights at quaysides in the Russian and Bechevinka bays. There you will be able to come ashore, have some rest and enjoy the beauty of the nature.

Day 6 - Returning to Petropavlovsck-Kamchatsky
We will return to the city no later than at 7:00 pm. Checking-in at the hotel and supper.
Day 7 - Free day or extra activities
Breakfast.

If weather is bad, you will have a free day.

Day 8 - Jeeping to Mutnovsky volcano and the Opasny Canyon
Breakfast.

We will go jeeping to active Mutnovsky volcano and climb to its crater. In scientific quarters Mutnovsky is known as a “cloud factory” since it continuously erupts with huge amounts of water in the form of steam. In the crater we will see serous steam vents, boiling mud pots and an incredibly beautiful glacier;

We will visit the Opasny Canyon where one of the most beautiful and grand waterfalls in Kamchatka pours its waters over volcano slopes;

We will return to the city and have supper.
Day 9 - Visiting the Avachinsky Pass or the Vachkazhets mountain range
Breakfast;

We will go to the Avachinsky Pass or the Vachkazhets mountain range with a stop for swimming in hot springs. Both places are amazing in their own fashion, but they are entirely different. The Pass divides two active volcanoes, Avachinsky and Koryaksky, while the Vazhkazhets mountain range is among the oldest mountains in the peninsular. We will decide on which place to visit depending to actual weather conditions on that day;

We will return to the city and have supper.

Bay house hostel
