The whole of Kamchatka in 14 days

We get up early, have breakfast and go to the southern group of volcanoes.

We have a very busy program for the next three days.

The weather in this part of the peninsula is very unstable, so the route may change based on weather conditions.

We will drive 110 km by cross-country car (travel time is approximately 4-5 hours and depends on the condition of the roads).

The first in our program is the active Gorely volcano, whose height is 1829 m.

Upon arrival, we have a snack and go climbing (climb ~ 700-750 m, distance 4.5 km in one direction).

The ascent is not difficult and in good weather we will be able not only to look into two of the eleven Gorely craters, but also to see the Vilyuchinsky volcano.

We return to the camp, where lunch is waiting for us.

If we make it in time today, we will reach the lava caves of Gorely volcano.

We return, share our impressions, have dinner and go to bed.

Today we are also waiting for an early ascent and another active volcano — Mutnovsky. (distance ~4 km in one direction, climb 450 m).

It consists of several cones merged into a single array.

Let's walk along the edge of the volcano.

Incredible views of the volcano's crater will open all along the route, and at the end of the climb we will see fumarole fields.

On the way back we will reach the waterfall in the Dangerous Canyon.

This is an amazing waterfall! Its height is about 80 meters. The view opens 50-60 meters. The rest of the power of the water dives into a glacier that has not been melting for years.

Look around and believe that you are almost in the Grand Canyon. Unbelievable!

After that, we have a snack and go to the parking lot.

Today we will visit the so-called Small Valley of Geysers.

This place has nothing to do with the famous Valley of Geysers, but the views here are also very impressive.

Hot springs are an active fumarole field, the gases of which heat the cold water of a mountain stream, and as a result, fountains of hot water and steam can be observed.

In addition, there are hot springs with blue clay where you can swim.

We have lunch and move to the village of Paratunka.

On the way, we will stop at the waterfall on the Calm stream.

Let's stop at the recreation center. Hurray!

Civilization: shower, cellular connection, electricity and real beds.

We have breakfast at the recreation center in Paratunka (breakfast is included in the price) and go to the ethnic village.

Here we can get acquainted with the life of the indigenous peoples of the peninsula.

We will see yarangs with traditional decorations, a concert of local aborigines will give vivid impressions — a fascinating harp playing, national songs and scenes from the life of hunters, the smell of herbal tea — and all this against the background of lakes and volcanoes.

We will even master several movements of the national dance.

We will have lunch in a warm yurt-like yaranga, and from the dishes we will try local Kamchatka fish soup and tortillas cooked over a campfire.

As a souvenir, you can take pictures in national costumes and buy handmade souvenirs made of bone and wood.

After lunch, we will go by car to the foot of the Avacha volcano.

The journey will take about 2 hours (70 km).

Upon arrival, we stay in cabins (for 10 people, shower for a fee, toilet on the street).

We have dinner and enjoy the views of the slumbering giant under the first stars in the anthracite Kamchatka sky.

Ascent to the Avacha volcano (radially 15 km).

The height difference from the starting point to the top is greater than when climbing Elbrus — 1900 m.

The heights are certainly not the same, but in Kamchatka the mountain comes earlier than in the Caucasus.

We're going light.

We admire the stunning views of the Koryak volcano and the Pacific Ocean.

In case of good weather, we have every chance to get to the top.

Here, as it should be, everything is hot, everything is steaming and boiling.

The variety of colors and breeds is amazing.

We have a snack and start going down.

We are moving to a hotel in the village of Nachiki.

The first part of our journey is over.

Early check-out.

Moving to the village. Kozyrevsk.

There are 470 km on the way. The journey is long, usually takes about 7-8 hours, but it is possible to increase or decrease the time (depending on the traffic situation).

On the way, we will stop at the famous village of Sokoch in Kamchatka, where we will buy huge delicious pies (not included in the price).

At the request of the group, you can visit the hot springs in the village of Malki.

Lunch in the village of Milkovo (not included in the price).

Along the way, it is possible to meet the owner of Kamchatka — a brown bear.

In Kozyrevsk we are located in houses (accommodation for 4-5 people).

Additionally, you can order a sauna (surcharge — 5000 rubles per group).

We are going towards the Tolbachik volcano.

We have to drive ~ 65 km along a forest road, the move takes from 4 to 6 hours.

And finally we get to the Northern Breakthrough of the Large Fractured Tolbachinsky Eruption (BTTI).

Lunar landscapes, Dead Forest, caves are waiting for us.

These landscapes will not leave anyone indifferent.

We are setting up a tent camp, today we are spending the night in tents.

Today we will climb the active volcano Plosky Tolbachik, whose height is 3140 m.

The ascent is not easy (about 8 hours).

But an amazing picture awaits us at the top: a huge crater, 3 km in diameter and 400 m deep, with steep walls inside.

If the weather is good, we will see panoramas of the volcanoes of the Klyuchevskaya group, as well as the lifeless spaces of the Tolbachinsky Valley with numerous cones and lava flows.

We return to the camp.

We move to the village of Esso (moving 6-7 hours).

After such an active part, bathing in hot springs awaits us.

Rafting on the Bystrica River.

We will go to very picturesque places, where we will go fishing, have lunch, and take many beautiful pictures.

Early rise, packing.

And again, a long road to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (6-8 hours).

On the way, we will have lunch again in the dining room in the village of Milkovo (not included in the price), pick up pies in Sokoch and finally get to the hostel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Today we have a boat trip along the Avacha Bay.

It does not freeze in winter, is considered one of the largest bays on the planet and is able to accommodate a vessel of any size.

During the trip by boat, we will admire the beauties of the ocean coast, get acquainted with the amazing island of Old Men, see colonies of seabirds, catch fish and taste delicious fish soup.

We return to the city and go to the Vulcanarium.

On the tour, we will summarize all the knowledge about volcanoes, learn a lot of facts about volcanoes in Kamchatka and the World.

In this museum, the exhibits can be touched and viewed.

In addition, we will launch clouds, enter a lava cave, and see how the lava flow forms.

And also take a selfie against the background of the erupting Kamchatka volcanoes.
