Itinerary

Day 1 - Wine tasting and acquaintance with Arkhyz
We meet at the airport of Mineralnye Vody and go to the valley of the Kuma River, where the Praskoveysky grape plantations are located.
At the winery, we will find out how the farm was born, where German and Italian winemakers produced drinks for the grandson of Nicholas I. What happened here during the Soviet era and how Stavropol farmers restored grape trellises.
The guide will take us through the ancient cellars, which store a noble drink aged. You will see how Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, Pinot Noir ripen in oak barrels.
We will also get acquainted with the production and inspect the basement with a rare storage room, where royal wooden barrels are stored and a small collection of vintage wines from the middle of the 20th century was housed.
And, of course, we will be invited to the tasting room, where we will try 9 varieties of the drink: wines, vermouth, cognac, whiskey.
After a really exciting excursion, we will go to get acquainted with the most actively developing ski resort in Russia — Arkhyz.
We will check into the hotel, which will be our home for the next 5 days. In this amazing place, we will be able to fully immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of winter magic and experience all the delights of outdoor activities on the mountain slopes.

Day 2 - New Year
Today we will climb the Milky Way cable car to an altitude of 2240 m above sea level, we will contemplate the landscapes that have opened up to the highest peaks of Arkhyz: Pshish and Sofia. We will drink hot tea from mountain herbs, take a walk on the observation deck and return back on gondolas.
In the evening, we will have a wonderful meeting of the New Year 2024 with fireworks, songs, dances and fun. Let's melt the ski resort with our warm hearts and hot mulled wine. Just not all of it, because we still have to ride here!
Day 3 - Knowledge of nature and the Cosmos
On this day, we will gain strength and energy from the Belaya Mountain River with its famous Bely Waterfall. Let's take a walk through the winter forest away from the hustle and bustle of the resort, look at the ice-bound water. We will have time to communicate with nature and warm up with hot cocoa and sweets.
A serpentine leads from the village of Arkhyz into the mountains, the road rises to the Large Azimuth Telescope (BTA) — the largest optical instrument in Eurasia.
After dark, we will go there, and a researcher at the SAO RAS will help us immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of astronomy. Under the open sky, with the help of CELESTRON telescopes, we will be able to view all the planets, some galaxies and clusters of stars.
The telescope glass with a diameter of 6 m and a thickness of 0.8 m was cast and cooled for two years under special conditions so that there were no small bubbles left inside, affecting the clarity of the image. Then it was polished with diamonds, the desired degree of curvature was achieved, and aluminum was sprayed.
Day 4 - Arkhyz Ski Resort
Half a kilometer above the village of Arkhyz, two rivers Kizgych and Psysh merge, and the territory of the reserve begins here. After breakfast, we will spend time in a pleasant walk through the winter forest, go out into a clearing bordered on both sides by the river, enjoy the silence and views of the surrounding mountains.
Today we will have free time and a lot of entertainment to enjoy the winter mountains.
It will be possible to ride on the slopes of the resort on skis, snowboarding or cheesecakes by steam train. You can ride horses in the vicinity of the village. You can be a driver of a snowmobile or ATV and, cutting through the snow drifts, get to the most secluded corners of Arkhyz.
In the evening, our whole warm company can steam in the wood-burning sauna. And after dark, if you wish, you can get acquainted with snowmobiles, go for a ride and learn about the behind-the-scenes preparation of trails.

Day 5 - Thermal springs and the way home
Today we can afford a late breakfast, leisurely packing and farewell to the mountains of Arkhyz.
A comfortable transfer will take us first to the health resort of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic — geothermal springs Pearl of the Caucasus. After an emotionally filled week, bathing in hot springs is a real improvement of the body.
If a friendElbrus will be in a good mood, we will be able to observe it first from the West, then from the North.
The way from Arkhyz to Mineral Waters lies just around this handsome man.
